- The Massed Bands of the Foot Guards rehearse some of the music to be played at the Queen's Birthday Parade under the direction of Lt. Col. Steven Barnwell, Senior Director of Music Household Division, in the forecourt of The Guards Chapel.
You can see how passionate the SDoM is especially at 8:20, just love it
I love to see this in practice, the band conductor is very amazing about the tempo
Well, I did not expect that American armed forces medley. Thanks for the honor!...Ex-navy bandsman here.

'O Valiant Hearts'........this wonderful hymn is frowned upon by so many clerics these days - sadly I have heard the comment 'it glorifies War' from more than one Vicar over the years that I have been singing in choirs from small church to Cathedral......they are generally the same ones who substitute 'Onward Christian Pilgrims' for 'Onward Christian soldiers'........sit hear listening to this wonderful gathering of Guards Musicians' rendition of the beautiful hymn 'Valiant Hearts' and marvel that there are those in the world today who would censor music!
I want to thank you for loading these amazing videos. To tell you what they truly mean to me would take volumes. Bandsmen of the world, unite! :)
I greatly appreciate posting this rehearsal. It is not often you get to hear the comments from the director. Thanks for posting!

To Lt. Col. Steven Barnwell: Well done, sir. Even the American sections - really well done. Watch that gut, though, Steve. I got rated for mine last year. Not fun getting rid of it - started running with the troops. Oh God what a chore. Anyway, well done!
