Thank you so much for this nice guiding video 😳 There were quite many things I wanted to know for making wigs, but this video really was perfect guide for me. Thank you ! 😆😆😆
I appreciate it! Thank you !! Also I believe it is possible to slow down videos and even speed them up. Just have to click the little gear on the video screen and click playback speed. It should allow you to speed up and slow down most TH-cam videos ! I hope it helps!
@@Joesewz , yea i tried that but i didnt see it when it pulled up. No matter, i have no problems with reviewing the video, 😁. Thankyou so much❣ You wouldnt happen to know how to fix a fibercraft doll face that has a greenish face? I have one coming that has that. I just started to scan thru ur list to see. I also would ask if you know how to darken the skin tone on a doll? I recently have acquired crochet patterns but geesh them dolls are lacking color, sickly looking n expensive. Hence the defecto doll was cheaper. I really only have to fix the head, neck n arms. And i really want a dark/medium brown tinted slightly red hair wig. Incase u cant tell im really new at this, lol. Learning what i can for this new hobby.
I sadly wouldn’t be able to give you any tips for that. I have zero experience with dyeing dolls however I have seen a few people make it work! I’m sure there’s videos out there ! I really hope everything works out!!
@@Joesewz , oh well. I will keep searching then. But thankyou so much for telling me❣ i found ur hr long video, 🤗. Watching it too. You have fantastic tuterials for sewing! My goodness thats tiny sewing! Kinda like that micro crochet that im trying to master! Never did catch on to that armenian lace too. Needle/thread lace, smh. Love that older sewing machine too. Those r like gold where im at. Had a sewing machine shop guy tell me to hang on to mine. The new ones today wont last as long. And thankyou so very much for responding so quick too❣❣
Awh thank you so muchh! Welcome to the channel! Feel free to ask away if you have any questions. I’m honored to have you join the community! Thank you!! I love my industrial machine! It was a gift from my grandmother who is an interior designer! This machine is a sweetheart and sews amazingly!! The person that told you that they don’t make machines the same anymore is so right!! I’ve had home machines break down after 4-5 years of use and my industrial is going strong and she’s been working double that amount!! Thanks again for your kind words and hope my videos help you out!! 🥰💕
Thank you! It’s a very old Husqvarna Viking embroidery sewing machine from the early 2000s! It was gifted to me so I don’t know much about it but I’m convinced it’s discontinued since it uses floppy disks to read the embroidery files
@@Joesewz Mine is a bit of a mess but it was a fun experiment. I did end up straightening the yarn wefts because the rainbow yarn I used was just a bit to much to leave it with the natural curl texture when you pull it appart. I'm going to put some loose curls into it.
Wait, for the thin wefts at the end, are you just using a straight stitch? No zigzag? I have some alpaca hair that I need to sew into wefts and since the fiber is thin I need to keep the seam as thin as possible I think ^^;
Sadly I don’t, the hair was donated by a viewer who purchased it during a chaos sale from Smart Doll. They stated there wouldn’t be more since it was old stock. Haven’t seen the hair up for sale ever since. Thank you for the support!
i've been looking around, and every weft-making tutorial portion of the process always involves a sewing machine. is there any way to create the wefts without the sewing machine? i've been avoiding the glue method for attaching wefts to a cap just because i don't like how it looks, and i trust a sewn wig much much more😞 i can sew by hand, but i imagine this won't be anywhere near as good as using the sewing machine LOL my biggest problem is that i've never used a sewing machine and never learned how, other than off-handedly watching a couple beginner tutorials on yt. i don't have actual hands-on experience. i'm sure i could find a rental for the machine itself (maybe the joann fabric store still has that service?) but i'd rather not spend the money on it if that's possible at all
also just to clarify: i have nylon doll hair, but it's not a pre-made weft, so i'd have to make it myself. a total oversight on my part 😭 i guess if push comes to shove i know how to do the glue method though
Hmm all the wefts I’ve made require a sewing machine to help keep everything in place. Another option could be hand knotting each hair onto lace or mesh with a latch hook
@ i see! definitely time consuming, i wonder if itd create the same results though haha i ended up buying a cheap sewing machine just for this actually, and have looked up many different tutorials about setting it up and using it so i think im confident in using your tutorial now. thank you for trying to think of an alternative though!!
Thanks for your video! It saved me a lot of time and efforts on making my own wigs 😅🤣
Happy to help!! Thank you for your support!!
Thank you for including the bumps in the process as well. It takes some of the perfectionism worry out of getting started.
Hope it goes well! Bumps in the road are bound to happen so never let them hold you back 👍🏼✨
Wow that’s amazing work! You have the patience of a saint.
Thank you so much !! Funny how my grandma has told me that too haha
I purchased some braiding hair that wasn't on a weft, so this is PERFECT for what I want to do. Joe, you are a genius!!! THANK YOU for sharing!
Awh my heart!!! Thank you so much!! I’m so happy to hear that!! Im happy to help!

Oi boa noite, achei o seu método bem mais fácil vou tentar fazer uma
Estou tão feliz em ouvir isso, obrigado por experimentá-lo. deixe-me saber como vai :)
Hi love the video .what sewing machine do you use?

It look so good 😊

Beautiful 😻
Thank you so much!! 💖
so beautiful. thankyou. may I ask what is the name pf the white cloth when you sew the hair?
Thank you so much ! Any stretchy lace or mesh works well!
@@Joesewz but my strechy lace cannot be gone with water like yours . what water you were using?
Oh my bad!i thought you were referring to the material used to make the wigcap. I get what you mean, its called water soluble stabilizer
Thank you!
You’re very welcome! 💕
Hi. I was wondering if you could share what kind of straightening iron you're using. I have a small one, but this one is tiny!
Of course here ya go! Small heads up, it’s an affiliate link so I get a tiny commission from your purchase at no extra cost.

Great vidéo i loved the process and the easy explanation ❤️❤️❤️ please which fiber are you using? looks amazing and easy to work with
Thank you!! I was using hair fiber from Culture Japan, a viewer sent it to me so I could make this video. Not sure where to buy it honestly
So amazing 🤩 thank you this video helps me a lot.
Thank you!! So glad to hear that! ✨
I've made one wig before. It just needs some styling and I used yarn fibers.
That’s so cool! I’ve been wanting to make a wig using yarn! They have a unique look that’s easily styled!

Yup, A straight stitch back and forth. The zigzag creates too much bulk

@@EagleVision1999 you’re very welcome!! I hope your wig turns out fabulous!!
Were do you buy the hair fibers thank you
Amazon :)
Love that fiber. Where did you buy it?BTW, thanks for the tutorial.
The fiber was sent to me by a viewer who purchased it in a flash sale by Culture Japan. I don’t think there’ll be any more for sale :(
