Toddler Travel Activities that kept us busy & happy last time 🙌 As long as she's got a friend from Hazel Village and her Yoto mini, she's more than happy. But I like to have options for her just in case. And yes, navigating boredom IS such an important skill to develop. Especially for moments like this. Being able to find ways to stay entertained and engaged without a new activity or sensory bin or whatever else every few minutes. The work we put in at home to foster independent play really shows in moments like this. So this is your sign that it's ok and beneficial to sometimes do LESS structured activities and give your child MORE opportunity for free play!

​@@MariaandMontessori that's quite a heavy choice for a book for traveling. I always do as lightweight as possible - would be interested to hear if it was worth it.

It's definitely bulky-it took up the most space in that little suitcase. BUT for us personally, it is definitely worth it because Stella would prefer to keep her headphones on during the flight, and this way she can still hear all the language input. The book she chose was like a "first 100 words" style book with different shapes, colors, numbers, etc in both Korean and English. At first she had fun just hearing someone other than dad say these things in Korean, but she's become really interested in hearing what everything is in English these days. Most of the day is spent with "And in English this is called...?" The book does Korean, English, or both (and they have a few language options for this), so she can flip to what she prefers. And if she clicks in between the pictures, it plays a song. So overall, it keeps her happy for quite a while on the plane.
We took 2 super small Russian story books on the plane last minute, but it was so loud when she wanted to hear them, that she for the first time ever didn't listen to the end of those books. Asked for the headphones instead.
So in that way, it was worth it for us to take it along.
There's a few things I would change about the design in general, so I'm conflicted recommending the system overall. I haven't come across anything similar to compare it to, so it's good for what it is, but I do wish there were a couple tweaks to the wand itself!
