Standing by someone fighting the demon of the bondage of self is hard and heartbreaking. Watching them destroy their spirit. I did this to myself and had a strong support group that pulled me back from hell. It’s powerful to see this side of it. Thank you Mr Roy for sharing your talent, your hard work and the joy that you give me.... every couple of years i revisit with you and it's always when every level is turning over in my life... a few years ago a 6-year-old scared little girl who's birth mother was found dead started hanging out with me about once a month and we did fun things... at 8 years old her adopted mother dropped her off at my house and never came back.. at 10 years old her dad left for Texas & her grandparents were forced into taking custody of her.. we now spend every weekend together, she is now 14 and happy and smart & kind... and when she feels hopeless and Abandoned and sad I play this for her... so I wanted to tell you thank you for the song and a little different perspective on how you are still affecting and inspiring my life in a great positive matter! I have always loved this beautiful, bittersweet and SO REAL as far as addiction & feelings off being so VERY lost & ALONE! I was very close to suicide not too long ago, as a result of my own demons...my constant yearning for being treated equally as anybody else, just because I am an addict that doesn't make me better or worse than anyone else. I have been so fortunate to have a "street" family because I really think I would not be here now if they had not been so generous and. despite all the hardships... continue to believe that we will one day be free from all the worst pains. Every time I listen to this song... I still cry. Just gotta keep believing!

This song gives me life literally. This April I swallowed 29 pills and part of me left here. But the other part found what was lost. Every single day prior to that wake up my demons were dragging me to places I could find myself a way out of. It was loop of terror that literally ate me for an entire year. It came out of the clear blue and took me to the pits of hell. Every. Single. Day. There was nothing but shame and fear and terror and destruction of all that I was and am. My worth and value were buried in this pit at the bottom so deep and so gone. But this anthem. Is life. Is grace. Is freedom. Is the purest love. The greatest expression of unconditional love anyone can offer. To fight the demons with someone is fuc%ing brutal. It kills everything it touches. Or trries to anyway. But everyday we woke up he came to hell to battle to bring me back to find what I lost. He fought hard. The demons thought they won. But I’m stronger. And I hung tight to the light to find what I lost. Like magic I woke up as only me. I came back without them. They took that part of me and I found what it was that I lost. But he stayed strong and stood firm so I was not alone. He was my only light. So when you sing this you sing life. The anthem of forgiveness and unconditional love. The grace and mercy found at the bottom of your soul that you exude for the one you loved through demons is unconditional and literally spoke life in my bones. As your back up singer smiles her glorious harmony that ties this melodious magic together I was swept away. I have written and written and rewritten this anthem as I grow to make it my victory. To have him stand with me while I found what I lost is insurmountable. There will never be thanks big enough for the soul deep gratitude I feel. Thank you for helping pull me back and give me grace and forgiveness for all that was out of my hands and mind. I’d have chosen ANY dang thing but what was happening to me if I could have. Anything. Standing by someone fighting the demon of the bondage of self is hard and heartbreaking. Watching them destroy their spirit. I don't have someone in this situation to sing this to, and I don't have a support system myself, so this song reads like a letter from my previously whole self to my shattered self, as we pick up the pieces and rebuild again. Friday night & I've been listening to all the incredibly powerful music of Jonathan Roy. His music reaches deep inside & forces me to be vulnerable & honest with my own thoughts & feelings. Just magnificent.
Thank you Mr Roy for sharing your talent, your hard work and the joy that you give me.... every couple of years i revisit with you and it's always when every level is turning over in my life... a few years ago a 6-year-old scared little girl who's birth mother was found dead started hanging out with me about once a month and we did fun things... at 8 years old her adopted mother dropped her off at my house and never came back.. at 10 years old her dad left for Texas & her grandparents were forced into taking custody of her.. we now spend every weekend together, she is now 14 and happy and smart & kind... and when she feels hopeless and Abandoned and sad I play this for her... so I wanted to tell you thank you for the song and a little different perspective on how you are still affecting and inspiring my life in a great positive matter!

I have always loved this beautiful, bittersweet and SO REAL as far as addiction & feelings off being so VERY lost & ALONE! I was very close to suicide not too long ago, as a result of my own demons...my constant yearning for being treated equally as anybody else, just because I am an addict that doesn't make me better or worse than anyone else. I have been so fortunate to have a "street" family because I really think I would not be here now if they had not been so generous and. despite all the hardships... continue to believe that we will one day be free from all the worst pains. Every time I listen to this song... I still cry. Just gotta keep believing!

You've either been LOST or You've been the person fighting desperately for a lost lover, friend, or a family member... someone close. This song speaks to the core of human emotion. This song gives me life literally. This April I swallowed 29 pills and part of me left here. But the other part found what was lost. Every single day prior to that wake up my demons were dragging me to places I could find myself a way out of. It was loop of terror that literally ate me for an entire year. It came out of the clear blue and took me to the pits of hell. Every. Single. Day. There was nothing but shame and fear and terror and destruction of all that I was and am. My worth and value were buried in this pit at the bottom so deep and so gone. But this anthem. Is life. Is grace. Is freedom. Is the purest love. The greatest expression of unconditional love anyone can offer. To fight the demons with someone is fuc%ing brutal. It kills everything it touches. Or trries to anyway. But everyday we woke up he came to hell to battle to bring me back to find what I lost. He fought hard. The demons thought they won. But I’m stronger. And I hung tight to the light to find what I lost. Like magic I woke up as only me. I came back without them. They took that part of me and I found what it was that I lost. But he stayed strong and stood firm so I was not alone. He was my only light. So when you sing this you sing life. The anthem of forgiveness and unconditional love. The grace and mercy found at the bottom of your soul that you exude for the one you loved through demons is unconditional and literally spoke life in my bones. As your back up singer smiles her glorious harmony that ties this melodious magic together I was swept away. I have written and written and rewritten this anthem as I grow to make it my victory. To have him stand with me while I found what I lost is insurmountable. There will never be thanks big enough for the soul deep gratitude I feel. Thank you for helping pull me back and give me grace and forgiveness for all that was out of my hands and mind. I’d have chosen ANY dang thing but what was happening to me if I could have. Anything. I prayed for anything and it never came. But with his sword he came night after night to save me from my demons. Like a knight in shining amour. And you put my journey into words.
