    Keto is not a product… I eat meat, eggs cheese and veggies with berries. Nothing processed…. Basically a whole food diet. Nothing processed under the name keto…. To each their own. I love how I lost all cravings and have a clear mind. If you can get your body healthy. Thats what counts be it keto, WW or whole foods…. We can’t judge

      Same ❤ when i do lean cuts of beef, some chicken wings & drumsticks with few green veggies & a few berries makes me feel so much better. I use grass-fed butter for fat. And i will splurge one costco ribeyes when i can ❤️🥩
      In the past I also overdid it with the keto treats & had the same overeating issue and they don’t even taste that good 😅

    I have been clean Keto since 2019. At age 72 and losing 75 lbs, this lifestyle works for me.
    People who try to use commercial Keto food are not trying to change their relationship with food. They are trying to make it work under the Keto name.
    You need to find what works for you and bashing a health plan is not the way to go.
    TH-cam has changed algorithms about subjects on health that go against traditional FDA policy and won’t push those channels. It is not that people are not using a Keto lifestyle. Their channels can’t make money when TH-cam won’t suggest their channels- pure censorship.
    I am happy you found a way to sustain your lifestyle and your exercise has a lot to do with it. You look great but it is not flattering that you bash other options.

    I have followed you for years and I'm truly glad that you found what works for you. We all have to do that and for some of us Keto works. I'm an epileptic and am on this for seizures so you can discount my experience if you want. It has stopped my seizures. As for Keto stopping working it's because people play games and eat too much. I find that at it's core it's whole foods. Not packaged foods labelled keto friendly, certified or whatever. I don't overdo fats either. Just meat and vegetables. I occasionally eat fruits or vegetables that are higher in carbs. I don't use supplements. I don't intermittent fast. I'm 61. As of this morning I'm down 50 lbs - slowly.
    I am not sure what purpose your video serves. You found what works for you. That's great. Denigrating Keto, Atkins or other diets is not helpful

      I believe that you mean well but just as an example (and not an attack) you can eat jasmine rice & enjoy it. I can't. Not even a small portion. We all have to find our way with food & it's different for each of us. I enjoy watching you succeed even though I eat differently.

      @@bostongal1641 I have a friend whose daughter was epileptic and it’s truly scary to see her sudden and fast decline if she went slightly off her keto diet. She had to stay in a constant state of ketosis. When she was her whole life was different but some of the older adults around the baby thought they knew better and would sneak her treats. It was really awful to see her go though it

    Have been on Keto for 2 years, lost weight, love the way i feel! Do not agree with some of your statements, and because you were straggling on keto, it saved my life!

      Well, it ruined my relationship with food. I’m glad it worked for you but please don’t say I was “ straggling” I was fully committed. I ate clean keto with less than 20 TOTAL. Carbs a day. I tried harder than anything for it to work for me

    I like what your husband said to you that you earned your body and none can take away what you have built. That was very motivating for me. I couldn’t stick with Keto as I found it too restrictive.

    I love keto- I have always loved the way I feel on keto/ketovore. However, I have learned over the years to get rid of a lot of the “keto” processed foods. I believe everyone is different and you got to do what’s best for you! Love watching you no matter your eating! You are inspiring ❤

      Everyone wants to label what we’re eating, i can post a salad just bc im craving it and looks good and i get “are u doing keto or clean eating” or that’s not carnivore 😅 like no im eating it bc it’s super hot & just craved a salad 😅 I love ketovore too, it’s more versatile and easier for me also. The “keto” treats didn’t even taste good & i still overate those so the less processed the better works & then for some reason we’re not keto anymore they say we’re meat based lol 😆

    This is just my experience. I lost 60lbs on Keto, but felt like garbage. I was exhausted. I went from pre-diabetic to diabetic on keto, my thyroid was trashed. At my doctor’s advice, I quit. I was approved for Ozempic, because I’m diabetic. I got so sick on it, that I quit. I’m enjoying my progress with a calorie deficit. I eat balanced meals. Prioritize protein and fiber. Exercise daily. My labs, energy levels and A1C have improved. I also feel like I enjoy this way of living and can maintain it forever. I’m not the diet police by any means and I think everyone has to find what works for them.

      Now that is very interesting. You went from pre-diabetic to Diabetic bc of keto. No one ever talks about that.

    Lost 40pounds on Keto 3yrs. Keto helped me reverse diabetes and come off lots of meds.
    Gained back 15 pounds. Now on low carb lifestyle.

    Thanks for making this video, Daniella!! I did keto for a while and lost some weight. I stopped keto because my relationship with food had gotten so bad. It was not sustainable for me and was way too restrictive. My blood work was horrible as well. A banana isn’t bad for me 😂 Rice isn’t bad for me. Jesus said, give us this day our daily bread 🙌🏼
    I love where I am now. I am content with portion control and overall self control. I do however need to work on being more active. I sit all day at work 😭 What breaks my heart though, is seeing the keto influencers I used to watch go up and down with their way of eating and end up blowing up in weight 😞

    I do better low carb high protein. Any kind of white carbs are a no for me. I have insulin resistance. Any time I eat white carbs I feel horrible. White rice or white pasta OMG I get so bloated and all my joints hurt so bad. This works for me. I eat some fruits lots of salads I feel so good when I get a salad.This program you are doing is right for you. It is very obvious. It is your body your choice. The process foods that say keto are a slippery slope.

    Thank you for having this channel because keto brought me to you. Yes and you're right about that. Because at 63 years old this is the best I have been. I started with keto and I felt like I was the skinny fat. The most important thing for me now is toning and staying active because we're losing muscle, so it's important for me to continue being healthy and eating properly a well-balanced meal I'm active. Sometimes too active but I've stayed at 168 lb and I work 40 hours a a week. I work out. I do Mediterranean /low. Carb lifestyle, so I'm trying to stay as healthy as I can incorporating healthy nutrients into my body I have pre-existing injuries. I have degenerative arthritis throughout my spine but I'm not stopping. It's not an option. Taking medications for pain is not an option so I do modify my workout because of that. But staying active is what matters and eating healthy

    I still do high protein and low carb but not keto anymore. It completely wrecked my thyroid and now I’m on medication for it. Great video friend ❤

    I was thinking of "going back on Keto" because that has been the only time I have lost weight from soley "watching what I ate." It wasn't too difficult for me but like you mentioned I hit a point where I wasn't losing anymore and then the pandemic hit and I said " fuck it" lol and I didn't really gain weight up until now... I lost 20 pounds... stayed there for a long time and now i've gained 10 back in the last 6 months... have i enjoyed every thing I ate? fuck yes! but I'm about to be 39 in Sep and I wanna look and feel my best. I almost asked Chat GPT to make a keto meal plan for me.... I may still do that to see what it comes up with.

    Keto/low carb is not a diet trend for me. I am type 2 diabetic and low carb is the ONLY way for me to control my blood sugars. I am not keto all the time. when my blood sugars are high i go strict Keto.

    It is a huge misconception that people on glp1’s don’t have to still do the work, because they do. Also I still believe that keto works. The problem with keto is it can be really hard to sustain but I do believe if people are doing keto the correct way, it will still work.

    Girl to each there own. You do what works for you.but if worked out as much then as you do now and kept your keto clean and as whole foods as possible guarantee you that you would have had more success with it.

    I did keto and nope made me feel bad awful it screwed with my electrolytes and everything I could not go to the bathroom and that's not healthy.... I've lost 50lbs since having my last baby but im struggling with my calories I can't get high in my calories because I don't wanna eat high high carbs and that is prolly because i did keto I think that way but some things like potatoes or pasta pain my belly and i get so bloated so ahh it's a battle with figuring out what works for you but i do feel i sometimes fall back into keto when im not trying to and then My calories have been so low i know thats bad but im trying to figure out how to get that fixed with foods thats dont bother my stomach .. but I love your channel you inspire me and Im the same way as I get older I want to feel and look good not just for my husband but also myself and its all about overall health I want to just be healthy and live as long as I can for my babies. I definitely think of it as a long life way of eating I don't like "diets" because that means youll eventually stop and with health and fitness you keep going for the long hall It's all about calories in calories out and keeping your body moving. and food is food it's to fuel your body it shouldn't be just for pleasure it's to keep you alive I find pleasure in other things and hobbies like thrifting and DIY projects lol 😂... but keep doing your thing you have been a big motivator for me and you look amazing and kicking ass keep doing what your doing. But you have changed my mind and life with the way of thinking about food thank you😊🤍

    I’m not always keto but almost always low carb.. and I like it that way so my cravings for high sugar foods are curbed.. literally getting the same effect of Wegovy or mounjaro without injecting chemicals. Also I feel better on keto/low carb mentally and physically.. so not doing it for weightloss really. One thing for sure I DO prefer staying away from processed and ultra processed foods, for reasons of longevity. None of us really know whether they’re good or bad long term, and I don’t love them enough to take chances 😊
    Btw I’ve maintained my 35kg weightloss, and kept all my markers in check, so it works for me. It never stopped working.

    I love your content you always keep it real!!! I found you when I was looking for ppl who were doing WW while doing keto. & Then I went full blown keto when I saw my Mom's results. I lost 75lbs in less than a year & then C19 hit & I got pregnant w/ our 3rd baby who is now 3 & I'm still trying to lose the baby weight😂 I lost 50lbs after I had her just by cutting out things I knew were not healthy for me but when I tried to go go to keto it just didn't hit the way it did that 1st time!! But I'm proud of the healthy habits I've formed & I'm not giving up & your content is definitely inspirational to me so thank you for continuing to make awesome content & sharing your journey w/ us😊

    Unfortunately, i have food sensitivity to gluten, soy, and dairy .. I've done ww and all the other diets out there, I eat meat based now and berries.. my body loves it... you have to follow what works for yourself. It's definitely calories in calories out at the end of the day ..love yourself ❤ I follow you because your content is real, but I eat how I eat for my body not because others say do this do that... I work out to keep my muscles strong.. stay strong.. I'm one of those gals who has to follow a very low carb diet.. I stay lower fat, low carb, and lost over 30 pounds in a year.. no pre package foods sweets etc...

    I think a lot of people are just chasing the next trend so when keto isn’t fashionable, on to the next thing. If you followed enough keto channels, you could see them one-by-one moving to the next thing.

    I feel the same honestly I’ve lost weight twice on keto/low carb …. But this time idk I don’t want too eat so much animal protein anymore I feel like my body is craving fruits & all kinds of vegetables 🥕🥔 😢 I don’t wanna eat just meats & broccoli no offense to anyone I just can’t seem to do it anymore. & I’m not mad about it I’d rather be balanced first and foremost !

    Keto helped me in the way that it pushed me to read labels and understand food better. My HGA1C was high and I was at my highest weight. It helped me get going. Then I switched to calories 🙂

    Was Diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis on my 42 birthday. Went to a holistic nutritionist she wants me on clean keto. I’m having a hard time choking down meat this summer. But I will say lower carbs is helping still have not been able to go full keto yet. Bl

    Just a correction to a point that you made. It's not 20 total carbs it's 20 net carbs. I've been following you since your Weight Watchers days when you switched to keto. There's always a right way and a wrong way to doing the "diets". At the end of the day calories matter. Weight Watchers Freestyle people went overboard because of the "zero" point items.
    People have zero patience when it comes to weightloss. It's a lifelong journey.

    I found keto bc someone had a book abt it & decided to read while i was at their house 😅 then i began making the changes what it states about starchy carbs & never being able to portion control made sense to me, then i went on youtube & saw all these “keto” products & keto friendly packaged foods & treats and that’s when it went downhill for me because i was still overeating the treats & cheese and that’s when i looked for the nutrition keto side & found carnivore, i was struggling w some precancer stuff & that really helped me get through it. I stopped doing so much fat like adding mct oils & powders bc i feel like it was messing w my tummy, and also limit dairy bc making these “chaffles” can get overeating them too. I do believe in Carbs do make me feel super sleepy & tired and worst of all Very Bloated, Eating meat & butter makes me feel so much better also i never really like veggies 😅 but until this day i still can’t do portion control, everyone tells me “just eat 1 cookie & stick to that” I CAN NOT i will eat 1 the first day & just add an extra 1 on the following days. I follow Nutrition with Judy & she talks so much illness and diseases and she interviews regular people & also doctors they really talk about how food affects not just our weight but our mood, our health & our mental struggles. And i think the keto name has died down bc when we say we do keto it’s like “oh you don’t do carbs, all you eat is bacon” and that’s not true i try to find the less processed foods possible, if a mini muffin works for you That’s amazing for you but it doesn’t work for me Mentally. There’s a podcast about abstinent & moderator and why some can do portion control & others just cannot. It’s definitely a Life long journey not an easy fix bc at the end that will not work. I found you when you did keto but i never follow you until you began your reverse dieting journey & im so happy it works for you, at the end of the day keto/lowcarb/ketovore is a tool and the goal will always be to be healthy & find the best way for us to live ❤ i have been on keto and off because when i get stressed i get off track so easily 😢 last year i did a half marathon then lost a friend due to DV & it really put me in a state where i went back to full carbs & now I’m trying to get back on the keto wagon but i don’t call it keto anymore 😅 i just call it better eating high protein moderate fat & lowcarb because i know how that much has helped me in the past. Also the keto tortillas & treats are full of crap, you’re telling me that’s a keto option but the first ingredient is wheat flour, come on now 😭😭😭 i will continue to follow you Daniela bc you’re definitely an inspiration in general & i enjoy your videos 😃❤

      Just bought some ground turkey, green beans, costco rotisserie 🍗 and salad mixes for this week bc this chicago heat/humidity is no joke! And it doesn’t make me want to eat anything fatty right now 😅😅 I also don’t want to buy snacks for me bc everything is so expensive 😢

    I also want to say I 100% think everything went to the "Ozempic" trend which is not really right because it's for people with severity of overweight and it's for people that have diabetes. That's what it was meant for if I am correct it essentially just makes you not hungry. There are other ways to naturally shrink your stomach and get the same result. I am a anxiety, paranoid girly. I don't want to put chemicals in my body if I don't have to because the side effects from Ozempic are not very nice and it's the same thing almost kind of like where you're not going to the bathroom and you know and can cause some other things my mom's a nurse I can't remember what else she said exactly it could cause but it's not good. also, I feel with Ozempic people want the easy way out. They don't want to do the hard work of portion control mind over matter trying really hard to just eat healthy as a whole versus taking a shot and being able to eat the food you want, but then you can't finish them because you're not hungry but you're still able to eat the bad foods if that makes sense and lose weight because they're using the shot as there portion control because it makes them not as hungry. I don't know if I make sense but I am just so against relying of that but for people that medically really need it. I'm 100% for that. Some people can't afford Ozempic and so I feel bad that they feel bad that they can't afford it but really you could do the same thing at home without the side effects of the drug because it makes you not hungry. I promise you would feel less hungry with just shrinking your own stomach down naturally with portions. and then with sugar sugar is an addiction. Sugar makes you more hungry. There's a difference between healthy carbs and then unhealthy carbs like sugar, candy cake, doughnuts Twinkies all that stuff I think people get confused with healthy carbs and then the unhealthy carbs like with sweet potato yeah it's a higher carb but it's pretty healthy a banana yeah it's high carb because it's sugar but it's natural sugar. It's not artificial sugar or straight cane sugar. I just think people can do the real work themselves and not need to rely on a drug injection to do all the work for them. People have it in themselves to do it. They just don't want to you have to be mentally prepared and ready to change your life and to start making the change of healthy ways of eating and healthy habits

      I definitely think so, with glp1 it’s giving those quick results most people want and they don’t have the dietary restrictions

    I think a lot of keto channels dissipated because the TH-camr lost all their weight and people struggling do better following someone who is in the same boat as them. Keto works - for sure. Most folks don’t really need to follow Maintenance TH-camrs.

    I am on Wegovy lowest dose and it does for me is quiet the food noise it is sooo helpful. I am not thinking about food all the time, grabbing crap at work. I do not have the will power as you say not to snack but Semi is helping me. My habits are changing. I eat good Whole Foods always have and yes carbs lol but I’m not eating the whole pantry after 10pm 😂 I still strength train and workout. Weight is not coming off fast about a pound or 2 a week so I the misconception of these drugs is crazy.. but again I am staying low dose that is all I need right now. There is a right way to use the GLP-1’s.

      I agree! Some people are totally abusing it and honestly I blame that on med spas truly. Taking out the health part and making it about just being skinny

    Everything you said is absolutely right, i did the same thing you did, now it's all about portion control and i also lost too much weight, i looked sick, now i weight lift and feel much stronger, i also eat what i want within reason..

    ALL SO TRUE. We were in the keto world together me and you. I was die hard, it was my identity fully for years. But like you, it worked until it didn’t. I didn’t buy all the products, supplements, bulshit, but mostly because it’s just not here. If it had been available to me it might have been different. Don’t get me wrong, low carb is still my preferred way of eating, only because heavy carbs absolutely wreck my stomach, but I’m definitely not keto anymore. Also, all those years on keto, I did it with no gallbladder - people are always surprised lol. Luckily I didn’t have issues there. But my fat wasn’t overly high either. I always ate fairly clean with tons of salads and vegetables. I’m glad it’s a dying trend because being afraid of apples ain’t it - that was me too, for years. Glad we found our way out of the cult lol

    U r so right on all u said in this video I tried keto its not sustainable for me ... I'm 52 I'm sure I'm goin through menopause gained weight bak 10 in a month after I worked so hard to lose well I did weight watcher's which works for me but I've been so tired n mooding since starting it😊

    I found you when I was trying out keto, still here cuz I like your videos! This is a good topic for people to think about. I got too crazy about tracking everything on Cronometer and feeling guilt all the time. Plus, I could never eat the fat percentage Keto promoted. Balanced diets are the key.
