Im pissed that theres no mg origin version for chars zaku but theres 2 mg rx 78s and theres also the gundam base exclusive 1/100 rx 78. Theres also an rg 2.0 for rx 78 coming up soon. I really hope rg 2.0 for zaku ii will follow.
I appreciated the points about the durability of the kit as there are many kits both new and old that will just fall apart if touched, and sometimes just age alone will do it for a few kits as well. Something like this I feel needs to be considered if it feels noteworthy as for a more conscientious buyer/collector this can be a factor to consider.
thank you for the comment, no matter what I review I will always try to give my unbiased and honest opinion cause the consumer needs to know what they are paying for
@@sirfijoe450 Same. If I am buying something, especially something naturally flimsy like a model kit, I want some kind of assurance it will last as long as possible without it breaking apart or needing heavy intervention on my end.
When you build kits like this over time you gain the "experience" with this type of kit you can always go further just like those talented artists for this one here. It looks like a canvas you can customize... Paint. Add few metal parts to it. Weather it. Install lighting system.
I'm new to this hobby, but I feel like they should refresh these Zaku models.. there not many zaku unit, and the sazabi already crazy looking for MG. imagine if they add Sazabi to PG kit, or refresh this Zaku II. I think they did to sazabi, when they made the metal version, and that kit sold out super quick, apparently. So, now people are reselling it for 3k plus online..
I was considering getting this or the green one for my first perfect grade. I think visually it looks like a high grade honestly.. i hope they remake this kit soon since its been nearly 25years since its release.
I kinda wince every time people treat models like toys/action figures. Models are designed to be visually appealing and not necessarily about physical quality. This kit rolled off the shelf in 1999, so it's not going to be on par with a newer design. Best to build it, pose it, and leave it alone.
This kit is from 1999. They NEED to make a new perfect grade for the Zaku instead of making the RX-78 for the millionth time.

I mean I really agree with you but the RX-78-2 is the series’ mascot
All I want is them to release Zaku ll unleashed
Your first gunpla review is my first PG.🎉
Bandai really had the audacity to drop this in 1999 with Ver 1.0 stamped on the box and still haven't given us a 2.0 25 years later, or a PGU
That is so true
I finally got around to fixing my led eye. ended up needing to really stretch the springs on the metal connections.
The connection is indeed a pain to assemble

Tbh I wont buy a kit at all if I find out it falls apart easily. Durability is like one of the most important things to me.

Started mine today. There's an odd sheen gloss on the red, so i sanded it down.

Zakus don't hold their rifles at that angle. The circle on the elbow faces upward.

That is true,I also hope they make a Sazabi or Sinanju pg

I have one and it is so hard to pose that need to make another one that’s easier to pose

You do have a point, thank you for the input
