    I don't understand how the wearing of a tie is haram. What makes the tie distinguishingly the clothing of the kuffar but the pants, shirts, jeans, jackets etc. we wear not a resemblance of them as well? Didn't bin Baaz rahimahullah mention how these clothings don't fall under imitating the kuffar? I tried looking into the history of the necktie and there doesn't seem to be any Christian symbolism or religious history behind it.

      Pants were worn at the time of prophet Muhammad عليه الصلاة والسلام as well as shirts and different types of clothes, so it can not be imitation of kufaar. What seems to be the case is that tie is exclusively by the kuffaar and Allah knows best
