    I've watched well over 100 now hunts and this was one of my favorite.I wasn't sure if the hog actually saw him.The way The Hog was feeding made you just feel the nature.Great work mates.

    You will probably find that the first boar of the 2 was winding the 2nd and coming in to fight judging by the foaming of the mouth and all hackled up👌 awesome work to get it all on video 👌👌

    Guys! I have NOT SEEN a better quality hunting film. It's not just a vid. It's a proper doco! The slow mos and the camera shot angles are superb. I felt like I was out there with you guys. It's so hypnotic that I just got immersed in it. Liked and subscribed. Keep it up.

Good product placement with the Expedition bows - if not already sponsored by them - you should definately send a copy of this to them. Might have to pop back up - been a while since I was charged by a sow !! never seen Matt laugh so much.. looking foward to the next video masterpiece !!

    The very last kill was commendable. You walked up to a sleeping pig that you could have easily taken its life while it was laying down but you didn't. You showed absolute respect in the life you took. The way you kill says everything about the way you live. From the U.S. - Michael

    Mate what a sequence of events for the second hog right on last light! Got my heart rate up here on the couch 🤣👊 Tell you what, i really appreciate being able to watch quality productions like this guys, you're onto a recipe. They're more professional than many DVDs on the market, and i am acutely aware this is a hobby to film and edit th ese productions probably in your spare time when you have other commitments like family and work to balance... My TH-cam channel only buys ice creams for my kids 😉

    • @bowhuntdownunder314
      @bowhuntdownunder314  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      most of the time shit like that happens soon as I turn the camera off so got lucky this time as both Matt and I got him coming in.
      Jerry is run off his feet with his own business and crew of guys working for him, and Im either away on the tools proper working or away guiding so your right they get put together only when we can in our spare time, we have done a few paid hunting films for others but its filming our own hunts which is something we have always done and will always do, just put them together now with a little more thought and direction. Be nice to think that one day they might earn us some money to replace or upgrade the gear that we put through the ringer and destroy every now and then but we gotta crawl before we can walk with the way the hunting film industry is nowadays as DVDs are a thing of the past.

    That first kill sure did luxuriate in its swamp bath... but then came the arrow's blast... to jolt it out of its revery... the post-bath serenity. I noticed it grabbed some flora as it made its final exit- a last meal to bring comfort while dying?

    Hey mate, late to comment, but try a good pair of reef shoes and see if that does the trick instead of stalking barefoot! (Try out some $5 ones at Kmart as a cheapie test before investing in a pricey pair.) They’re light and silent- so thin you can still feel every groove under your foot, and will protect your feet from mozzies, ants, prickles, spiders, thistles, stinging nettles, and brown snake bites (as their fangs are particularly short and they’re the species you’re most likely to be bitten by in Aus.) I’d hate to see a hospital air lift snake bite rescue video with you lot.... would much rather more of these fantastic hunting vids! Love the work, keep it up!

    I'm quite sure this is done intentionally, but the filming style after of hunter with kill really exhibits the respect between hunter and boar. Maybe an intended display of respect? In any event, it bloody works and, as mentioned on other comments, a professional quality production and you should be damn proud of yourselves...subscribed

      It was through the front part of both lungs, collected underside of scapular, boar didn't make it 60 meters, Matt took on 2 boars testing out the prototypes of these broadheads on this 3 part series, all though the heads were a little soft and not tempered to Kayugas preferred rockwell, in both instances broadhead made to opposite side ribs taking out both lungs, proving they could handle worst case scenario the shoulder blade on entry.

    • @bowhuntdownunder314
      @bowhuntdownunder314  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      just wanted to try and change things up a little, and see if I could raise the bar make the films a little more story based and film like. I've never tried to copy or make DVDs like anyone else in the past, but after I watched heartland bowhunter around 7 or 8 years ago, they made tree stand hunting look interesting with the way they filmed and edited their hunts, I liked the look of what they were doing so I started filming things a little different specially leading up to the shot. I knew I needed a hand from someone that shared the same interests so hunts could be filmed how I wanted and I wasn't putting the camera in the hands of someone that just wasn't comfortable or use to it, I can't thank all my mates enough for what they captured me shooting when i dumped a camera in their lap for all those years.
      So teaming up with Jerry just felt right as we both share same interest and hunt real similar, he is also a lefty like Red and Cooty and came on a hunt with us in 2014 where things just clicked, nothing seemed too much of an effort and he was real keen, we both film a little different but seems to work most of the time. So with a new start and teaming up with Jerry I dropped the 2blade productions as DVDs were on their way out and carried over Bowhunt Down Under Films which was actually the name of my first Video back in 1994 and incorporated that name in my other DVDs since.
      I Still have hundreds of hunts to share that will come out as raw edits on our you tube channels similar to our IGTV channels in the near future that are filmed when Ive hunted with other mates including Red and Cooty so you haven't seen the last of them, plus there are plenty of other hunters I filmed with in-between, and there will hopefully be plenty more short films like we are putting out now.
      It's a team effort but Jerry needs to take the credit as he does majority of the work as he is way quicker editing and up with all the knew technology plus picks the music which in my opinion makes or breaks a film.
      Keep an eye out for part 3, its due out before Xmas and the pick of the 3,

      Bowhunt Downunder you are the man mate, I’ve told you before but your the reason I started throwing sticks and filming which I am heavily addicted to now much to my wife’s dismay. I’d give my left nut to head out with you boys one day, I’d be happy to leave the bow at home and learn, as everything I know now about hunting came from your 2 blade vids and now spending as much time as I can in the scrub watching and learning and taking a few good critters on the way. 10 years on I’m still learning, I don’t think you ever stop. Appreciate the reply mate and more so the vids and content you’ve done over the years. Thanks.

      Not in this part of the country we don't, as there is often talk of decease amongst them and as they are an introduced evasive species which need to be controlled we don't have to. We do how ever take plenty in other parts of Australia where they are less susceptible and on better feed like crops and pasture, we have and do show a little of this in some films but generally with the heat and the flies its all hands on as lots of flies on fresh meat aint the best look and we run cameras our selves so once our hands are dirty cameras don't get handled till jobs done. We show way more meat recovery and butchering through our insta stories once its safe from the flies.

    i thought pigs were supposed to be a problem in north aus ,there doesn't seem to be that many around , IE :- not many kill shots in this vid ,maybe i'm just too used to watching Huey from Lone Star Boars, if your worried about shot placement, top half in the neck is a good spine shot they don't run then

      tigers galore i wouldn’t say a huge problem but in some parts they are, this particular block doesn’t have a problem, sorry it wasn’t at inviting as ‘lone star’s’ I rather put it in the vitals mate like most people 🤷‍♂️

      This article may help. I was warned about eating wild pig from tropical Australia and was told they carry TB.

      we do eat them if they come off the improved and cropping country closer to where we live and are in the right condition, with mixed reports on disease from the northern pigs we don't eat the old boars we target.

    Do you just leave them there? Don't you use the meat? I just noticed you're not taking them with you.

      Age and area determine whether we take meat as certain areas they reckon the pigs carry decease and often eat a lot of carrion over the dry season and as the saying goes often taste like what they eat. When dealing with heat and flys we generally don't show any meat handling as it not the best look and its all hands on deck.

      Some laugh some cry and some are just thrilled with excitement. Don’t be so quick to judge every American hunter. I’m sure you have a share of “crazy” where you are from.
