DESPERATE DEFENSE OF CAIR ANDROS - 2v3 Siege - Total War: Rise of Mordor - Cair Andros, meaning "Ship of the Long-Foam," and pronounced "cyre an-dros", was an island in the river Anduin, resting nearly forty miles to the north of Osgiliath. It was of paramount importance to Gondor during the long war with Mordor in order to prevent the enemy from crossing the river and entering into Anórien.

The fountain guard were holding until their allied swan knights rear charged them in panic lol, if they'd have dismounted and fought on foot supporting the fountain guard, Gondor could easily have won.
If possible could you make the Battle of Dale in one of the lotr mods? It would be like the Battle of the Five Armies but replace the orcs with easterlings/rhun and remove the elves.
The official rise of mordor discord will do this battle as a scheduled battle where people who are a part of the discord can participate in it in 2 weeks or so(im a moderator on the discord who plans the scheduled battles)

Dang. Those Fountain Guard were extreme. And I guess that the bad guys have to outnumber the good at least three to one to get a comfortable victory.
I dunno, 10,375 orcs against 4,145 men sounds like pretty rough odds at like 2.5:1 - almost, but not quite 3:1, and honestly had the men not bungled a few points in those last moments...they'd have eked out a favorable conclusion. It was a much nearer thing than even those ending numbers let on, decided in the last 3-5 minutes I'd say.
@@Geredis089 I suppose. I think that Apollo had a video a few weeks back where the Orcs and whatever outnumbered the Elves 2.75 to 1, but still lost by quite a bit.
@@Geredis089 maybe the charge on friendly mountain guards by the Swan Knight unit did influence the outcome of the battle negatively. What would have had happened, if they didn't charged?

If you have citadel guards and fountain guards you can hold a small corridor against like 8 melee units the only thing that can defeat them is arrow and artillery

I don't know what it is Apollo...but every Total War since Medieval 2 just doesn't have the "magic".
I dunno, I reeallly really want to like the newer games but they're just missing something.
So bad optimization .. all recent total war games require NASA computers to run properly. I remember back in the days of Napoleon or Shogun 2 even the big battles on high graphics and unit scales didn't lag or drop that many fps, but ever since ROME 2 it feels like every TW game has those issues.
I’m Trying to install the mod, but I keep getting an error of insufficient space available when I try to unpack the .rar file. I find it very difficult to believe that 170Gb is too little space to unpack a 4Gb file.
how do you find those "Total war : Rise of mordor" and "Total war : Medieval Kingdoms" you make videos of ? I cant find them anywhere.. and if its mods, to wich original game are they mods to ? I searched in total war rome 2 and some others, but no luck...
Oh, Cair Andros wasn't a trading city. It wasn't even a city; it was literally just a fortress, built in the second millennium of the Third Age when the Kings began to fortify the Anduin.

It's sad how they patched Rome 2 from a broken, unplayable state to a quite solid one but they couldn't be bothered to fix the performance issues of Attila. Doesn't seem like that would be nearly as hard.

For me gondor players won because they were greatly outnumbered wich is unfair and you were 3 players wich is much much more easier than being 2 players

Great siege really enjoyed it and I laid siege to the like botton
dunno if anyone answered your question, but here is the answer: They indeed can refill ammunition for missle troops (arty included! ) but just partially (6 ammo or sth). You can use the "special ability" of the supply barrels 4 times - so for the majority of troops the 4 uses of one supply barrel are enough for a complete refill. the ability has a cooldown of ca. 150 seconds and gives the target a mobility penalty for a couple of seconds
