Incredibile!..... Mai sentite!

Brings me back to when I had a singing teacher who'd encourage me to listen to old recordings and sing difficult parts like this one, but he passed away 10 years ago, and listening to this still hurts like crazy.
I'm good now though, volunteering in an amazing choir where I get to do meaningful things with my voice alone, which is more than I could ask for. I just deeply miss the guy.

The power to strike to the heart, recording standards notwithstanding.

Opera is NO LONGER of this QUALITY because the Impressarios, Conductors & Stage Directors, are accoustically deprived while the voice teachers (?) despite their degrees do not comprehend what constitutes perfect tonal placements as heard in Tetrazzini's singing. It's a LOST ART.

Ideals and taste change over time. Personally I'm glad opera doesn't sound like this anymore.

The singers don't have enough technique and training , also the voices wobble too much. The recordings had to be sped up back then and even cut to git into the time allowed.

Molto interessante. Insomma! 😂
