At 0:43 when she messed up one of the beams I felt that. It really made me feel like even though every detail wasn’t perfect it came out so beautiful.
I'm blown away by this. Just the perfection of light and shadow, especially neon lights... Stuff like this scares but also inspires me a lot at the same time.
I love how your paintings transports us to another place and to another time, the gentle revelation of the colors conforming to the forms is infinitely satisfying, unlike a photograph, painting and even drawing beckons us in into this otherworldly dimension via our imagination. When I'm going through a creative impasse or what they call an "artist's block", I always seek out artwork and artist like this because watching another artist at work is inspiring and can be motivational.

im fascinated by watercolours but it never works for me bc i cant seem to get used to working from light to dark
Try doing monochromatic (one colour) paintings to help you get used to it, also gets you to see what that colour tube can do.

I've been looking for this video for like 20 minutes in my watch history, it felt like it had been years since I watched this video, but it was only uploaded 6 months ago. I remember really liking the way you painted the lights here, and now I'm in the middle of a piece too scared to paint the lights and then I remembered watching this.

there is no specific 'way' watercolour paintings should look. everyone has their own style.

I really enjoyed watching this. thank you for posting this video! I don't think i would have intuited a single color you used other than green for the foliage, it all looked like blues and oranges, and yet zooming out it all came together into a scene. I've also never seen an alternative to painter's tape for holding down paper, I'd like to try the clippies.
