I am thrilled to watch this. And it's always particularly exciting to see Alex O'connor with Dawkins, I expect their discussion to be especially engaging, thought-provoking, and informative.
I have had the privilege to see Richard Dawkins many times on book tours and debates. Every event i have been to has sold out .All these events have had one thing in common, and that is the warmth and gratitude the audience show with their applause. I guess it's our way of saying thank you.❤
Dr D, along with Dr Krauss, has significantly influenced my thinking, especially helping to sharpen my ability to think critically. He's also opened to the door to other scientists and philosophers. I thank him for his life's work.
I, Sir, shall remember you as one of the topmost bringers of reality into my, and others' world. Your seeking, searching, enquiring mind, and your love of reality, has encouraged my own mind to open, and to delve deeply within. What a world, what a journey, what a wonder we have stumbled upon ❤
When I read Tibetan Book of the dead, it occurred to me once that are all the imageries depicted in the texts are symptom of how the neurons and cells responding to the dying process, and display to the dying man in semi hallucinatory condition. In Buddhist text, one of the sufferings of death is the struggle to hold on to the self, the identity, what defining, giving supports to the characters that would make such identity to form. anyway, it was just a thought
Richard will go down as one of our great Neo- Darwinists and thinkers. I always taught my pupils the idea of selfish gene theory even thought it wasn't a required part of the curriculum at GCSE. His thought experiment on our ancestry in 'The Magic of Reality' was the best explanation of our evolutionary path..I used this in class as well.
Mr. Dawkins: Before your days are through please consider this thought: DNA is a code. There's nothing in nature that has been observed being a writer of code de Novo. DNA is the most complex code ever written or discovered. It is the instructions of life encoded into DNA. The book of John chapter 1 verse one says in the beginning was the word and by the word we're all things created. The instructions being into all living things was predicted by the Bible a very long time ago. Can you not see this as God's instructions?
@@MikeCT100 Punch that straw man with your hate for the creator of the code- the original causal event of creation of all that is alive by instructional code. Nature doesn't write code de novo. Bring your best argument and not straw men.

Have you checked out Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens or Daniel Dennett?
Your show was phenomenal in Washington. Flew there to attend! Can’t wait for more 🧬 💙 🌎
I can't wait
Wonderful to be hearing from Professor Dawkins again! I can't wait to watch this 📚 I love you so much 🌟💛
It's very gratifying to know that Richard is so gratified. And I am indeed very pleased that he's so very pleased with himself.
Unforgettable man! Thank you for opening my mind and changing my life🤗🇿🇦
Can't wait.

Now, now Doctor Dawkins. This is a dead giveaway.
Good, maybe we can get on with knowing the truth of the absolute. The truth no science, has been able to answer.
Science has been able to answer one truth after another. Will continue to do so. Unlike religion.

No.
If you quote the bible or any "ancient sacred" text to make a scientific point you lose your case. Can you not see that?
No.

@@Shannaya17 I was an atheist until I understood DNA is a code. So, yes.
