I agree with you - no system is necessary. I think you hit the nail on the head, so to speak - anything without figuration or images of real life would be abstract. Thanks!
I am also really interested in what a musical equivalent for Rothko's art could be. I personally would choose something ultra-minimal and monolithic, less playful and meandering. But that's the beauty in art - we all see a slightly different reality mirrored in it. I like your music, though, its dreaminess reminds me of the Blade Runner soundtrack.
It's just my personal sense of Mark Rothko, the man, and his life as an Abstract Expressionist in New York during the heyday of the movement. I agree with you - the musical equivalent would be something minimal and monolithic (perfect words to describe the art and descriptive music).
Amazing music!! ...One thing about abstract painting. I dont know a lot about paintings, so dont take me seriously when I pretend to know more than Rothko. Arent all abstract paintings the ones that dont use shapes, figures and images of real life? Regardless of whether there is a system like Kandinsky's or not...
@Euterpe420 Thank you for watching and listening. I always appreciate your comments!

@experimentalrock Thanks - it's an old one, the Roland GR-300, but I really like the way it responds.

Great job, Max. And thanks for all the interesting information about Rothko.
