- S.H.figuarts chainsaw man Denji was released on the 23rd of February as a regular release and retails for about 6000 yen or roughly 50 USD. You can still find Denji readily available at all your favourite online retailers like amiami, hobbylink Japan and bbts. All links will be on the description.

The figure was okay, still the same engineering but i don't understand the gapping on shoulder. They did great job with Chainsaw Man, but with Denji, if you only pose it naturally, its really obvious with those shoulder gap. I got mine swapped his body with Chainsaw Man just so at least, he looks ridiculous in his Chainsaw form and look normal in his human form, lol
The pair of hands that are stuck together is for covering his face to recreate his embarrassed expression from the scene with power in the bathroom

I wish Kaiyodo made a Chainsaw Man. I prefer their articulation and the poses look more dynamic. Plus they tend to include more accessories so it's possible we wouldn't have to buy 2 figures just to get a denji head piece and non-chainsaw arms.
Buying 2 SHFiguarts figures are just equal to 1 Figma/Revoltech when it comes to price. So having 2 Denji on human and chainsaw forms is not a bad idea.
@@juneagranzamendez2773I wouldn't necessarily say they're equal since a Kaiyodo Chainsaw Man doesn't exist yet so we can't compare exact values.
I'm basing this off of HLJ prices in JPY btw.
SHF Chainsaw Man (6,500) + SHF Denji (7,000) = 13,500
Most expensive Amazing Yamaguchi in HLJ so far is MHA Endeavor at 11,960
The difference is 1,540 so they're pretty close.
The 2 SHF is more expensive by just a bit but you get an extra body.
However in my case international shipping is an additional cost that I have to factor in.
There's a gap in the release date between SHF Chainsaw Man & Denji so I would have to ship them separately which would be around 7000 (3,500 per figure to my country).
So I would end up paying more due to shipping.
Also I like to save space as much as I can and don't need an extra base body.
But who knows, only time will tell. Maybe Kaiyodo will release 2 separate figures as well or it ends up being more expensive.
@@Rexar-ck9oi I personally think it's only really fair to use the retail costs. Yeah, it may be putting it in too much of a vacuum, but I'm not about to blame Bandai for shipping and import custom prices. After all, if you live in Japan, you can pretty much pick them up for exactly that price, and they're not really gaining anything out of the shipping costs we pay.
I think the extra base body (for just a little more than one Figma) is a great thing. It means you don't need to fiddle around with swapping all the time, but you can if you want to. This is how I'd have approached this whole situation if Bandai hadn't screwed with Denji's arms for no reason. They should've just kept the CSM body and shoulders, and it'd have been a-okay. Sadly, they did not, so if you want Denji to not have wonky arms, you have to parts swap anyway (which kind of kills the entire pro of getting a whole second body for those who like that, or at worst forces them to buy another Chainsaw Man to have both a good Chainsaw Man and Denji simultaneously. Bandai screwed up here.)
Anyway, while I think the SHF Chainsaw Man is top-tier. Very fun to pose, very robust, very dynamic looking, I'd take a Revoltech/Amazing Yamaguchi as well. I imagine it'd come with a lot more swappable parts, like chainsaws for the legs, and bloodsplatter effects parts.
@@Zakjuh I'm not really blaming Bandai for the shipping and tax though. From my own overseas consumer perspective, the time between releases and possible shipping costs are just additional factors that I consider when I decide on which figures to get.
I personally would still rather just have extra parts and be able to swap it rather than have an extra body but you do bring up good points and I can totally see the pros of having an extra body to mitigate frequent part swapping.
And yeah I agree, the SHF Chainsaw Man is a very good figure. I like how it can recreate poses from the source material.
I do wish it came with the chainsaw legs and I hope Kaiyodo gives us that if they ever make a Chainsaw Man.
