Don’t go down the Dimash rabbit hole… there is no recovery from it. Dimash breaks standard human voice limitations on every side, and produces music unlike anyone else. I can’t compare him with anyone else because he doesn’t sing like anyone else. It’s a whole new music realm I’ve entered. And honestly, everything else is boring now. So proceed with caution. For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

This song was originally done by a group called "A Studio". They are assisting Dimash here on stage. He pays homage to the lead singer who passed away with the Chant he does during this song which is a Kazakh tradition when someone passes away. He thanks A Studio in the end of video. Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. "Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his vocalize, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give me) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which is not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words. ❤️🎤🔝🌹🌹👏👏👏

He's 28 yrs old from Kazakhstan. He's been classically trained since the age of 5 and both parents are/were professional singers. He gave 14 performances on a Chinese tv show called The Singer in 2017 and all those videos are available.

Always check the "cc" icon. Dimash sings in "13" languages. He speaks 3. Kazakh, ( his native language) Russian, and English. He has only learned English over the last few years. Dimash sings everything from Opera to Pop, folk, R&B, and even raps, sometimes all in the same song...You are in for some real treats. Lots of performances are on his YT channel, including his SRO concerts...You are really going to like his New York concert. For most of the songs he is famous for go to his Digital Concert. He did this for his fans (Dears) during the pandemic, which stopped his world tour. Multi-millions of Dears around the globe. Hundreds of fan clubs in as many countries. He is so humble, kind and talented. We fans are called "dears" by Dimash. Because we are like family to him. That's the way he thinks of us. He doesn't like war and is the embassador of peace. He wrote a song of called War and Peace. Please check out SOS (2017 "I Am Singer") version then (2021 Digital Show) version during the pandemic. Dimash is the male equivalent of the late Yma Sumac who rose to fame during the 1940s and continued past 2000. She had a sub-contralto voice but could reach light high notes much like Dimash. Check her out here on TH-cam.

Don’t go down the Dimash rabbit hole… there is no recovery from it. Dimash breaks standard human voice limitations on every side, and produces music unlike anyone else. I can’t compare him with anyone else because he doesn’t sing like anyone else. It’s a whole new music realm I’ve entered. And honestly, everything else is boring now. So proceed with caution. But I’m subscribing because I like your pure enjoyment of music.
