Love it when someone off screen hands him a Megaphone, comedy gold. Another scene I also like is from the Naked Gun Franchise. Drebin is trying to talk a criminal down from a room high up. Using a Megaphone he starts talking to the guy, and then he begins to shoot at Drebin, and then Drebin starts telling him "I can't hear you with you shooting that gun"
I'll be perfectly honest, when he said "Black and White is here", I thought I could stay ahead of the joke by presuming that a black officer and a white officer would show up, but the black officer's name would be White and the white officer's name would be Black (given the comedic movies/shows that Leslie Nielsen was in, this seemed like exactly the kind of joke they would go for). Just when you think you've got the humor figured out, they keep you on your toes by choosing something ao completely absurd and utterly ridiculous that I would never have come up with the joke they made instead.
Believe it or not, the network was either afraid that (or actually found out) that the audience didn't get that this was a comedy because it had no laugh track!!!
The random civilian just walking by while they were having the shoitout was the funniest part to me like why were you even there in the first place😂 lmao 🤣 great show indeed with all the literal humor and antics😅

I love how the girl thanks the other cop for saving her life when he didn’t do anything but fall down since he had no idea where he was going being covered up hysterical 😭

"Police Squad" was totally nuts. Pity it didn't last longer. But as Leslie Nielsen said himself, it was one joke after another. You had to really pay almost constant attention to what was going on to catch them all, which is not how most people watch television.
Plus, they had VCRs back then, but I'm pretty sure they were very expensive still. So, you didn't have the option of rewinding/continuous play, unless you had the money for a VCR.
At the end there...How in the heck could they freeze frame but not the monkey? I mean they didn't have fancy computers back then. The techies didn't get enough credit for the movie magic they pulled off.
The best part was is the fact they never reloaded their six shooters until like I don't know the very end shit made me laugh so fucking hard when I was a kid

The number of shots without reloading is remarkable. At one point, Frank fires six shots quickly, then grabs a different gun.

Drebin in total fires 35+ shots without a single bullet reload but several GUN reloads. I love this show.
