The problem is all the Timmys out there who think they can do this too, but can't see the immaculate timing and map control that baus is doing. Sure he dies a lot, but he's wasting a ton of the enemy's time forcing them to miss cs and objectives as well as removing their map pressure. Like he inted into the enemy team at baron, but played it well and stalled long enough to force them off and his team took dragon which is worth way more than a death and assists. Most people are just gonna int and not actually have an impact on those objectives. If you ignore baus then he's in your nexus at 15 mins, if you go deal with him every 2 minutes he's perfectly happy to waste your time and you lose the game anyways. And he is basically always out CSing his opponent while he does all this.

@@Joebobinator Timmy emulating streamers means nothing in the grand scheme of things, though. The list of personal gameplay and macro mistakes that any individual low elo player has in their arsenal isn't enough to isolate streamer emus out as uniquely bad or int.

Rammus isn't broken, it's a hard punish for drafting only AD. It's similar to drafting all AP against something like Galio, but just way more effective
yup, its like saying Renata is OP when the enemy drafted 2 marksman bot and kindred jungle. you are basically tipping your hat and accepting Renata has the potential to turn every drake/baron fight with just one spell into an ace. counter picks are insane when in there element
Babus knows that ramus top is not the way to go for 90% of his games cause u need at least 4 ad champs in order to make it work. And the fact he cant blind pick him is one of them.

Rammus top is amazing provided you are smart, NEVER first pick him, if you dont have at least 3 enemy ADs then you better hope that you can out play them, always have another champ to select when the matchup isnt good, fighting 4 APs just cause your laner is AD isnt worth it.

Rammus's damage is mostly his w and thornmail , his autos deal a good amount early game but they're not reliable late game

He does tend to tilt a slight bit sometimes but he’s the streamer I enjoy watching the most, he’s actually evidently enjoying the game for the most part and even though people make fun of him for random things, his macro and mechanics are certainly up to the level you’d expect a challenger to have! Babus really makes you wanna play League unlike other streamers

I’ve done this for a few weeks. People at lower elo 1000000% know about fighting a rammus. If they don’t, they realize it in 2 seconds

This rammus top stategy worked for a lot of patches after Thornmail goes up from 10% to 20% damage. But only now, after Baus plays it, it will be in 50% of your games against 4 AP champs but with that 1 ADC that will suffer.

Abysal mask should synergise super hard with this, it probably gives as much damage as 1 additional armour item and makes you so much tankier vs magic damage.
It's not really a good magic defense item. It only gives 35 Mr but when near enemies you get +9 per enemy so technically it can be amazing, but realistically it won't be.
Abysal 4th or 5th is optimal after you get sunfire/thorn/frozen out the way. I understand that Baus went sorcs for the early game but abysal mr reduction is dif from flat pen and worth WAY more. Everyone on team benefits too, even Yone. Always go Tabi or swifties.

4:15 Renekton with BotRK vs a Rammus with Thornmail:
Rammus wins 80-90% of the time. A Rammus with 500+ Armor will nullify the effects of BotRK because the %HP damage and healing from lifesteal are all physical damage affected by armor. Rammus will deal more damage with his W and Thornmail than Renekton would do as well as heal with BotRK.
A Renekton that rushes Cleaver has a better chance at winning a duel. This is because armor reduction not only increases the physical damage Rammus takes but also reduces the Magic damage he deals. Add an empowered E and Renekton can have an easier time.
BotRK is not a bad item for Renekton against a Rammus, but it's not very effective as a first item buy. You would be better off with a Wit's End doing magic damage as well as giving magic resistance to reduce the damage you take from his reflects.
Now time for topbeast to play some rammus top and prove it's not good

idk about you guys, but i find that abyssal mask is one of my favourite items on tank champs when i need to carry and when i dont need a ton of mr. Gives you so much damage as well as to your team, its like shadowflame but its better and gives the buff to your teammates too

One thing that I haven’t seen baus talk about is that you want to trade in minions if you can. When rammus autos you, he gets minion aggro, which helps him push the wave in so he can go proxy again. If there’s no champion in the lane against him he pushes really slow unless he goes to proxy.

You can't see how much damage sorcs do because each point of flat magic pen is valued differently because armor doesnt scale linearly
You can see shadowflame damage which is flat plen so not true
That doesn't mean you can't see the damage, also you're correct about the results of the maths but not the process, armor does scale linearly, but the damage dealt to armor scales logarithmically as armor scales linearly

Main rammus here, the way you are surprised by rammus game play is what I struggle with my team. They just don't know how bad ass Rammus is, and most of the time, they leave me under turrts while I dive and shield them from turrts attacks. This is a jungle main issue. But playing rammus top depends mostly on the enemy pick, Fiora Vayen Daruis Qwin Mundo Mordi Teemo Lillia Trundle Garen Gnar Garagas Illaoi .... all can counter Rammus. The only way to go through is not to fight them as much as possible. Rammus lacks the sustain. Thus BoTRK is a valuable option.

This pick is neither broken nor disgusting, its just a situational pick that punishes the enemy team for stacking ad champs. I mean this game the enemy team had 3.5 ad champs counting ezreal as half. Obviously its gonna be good and i like that there are options to punish draft mistakes made by the enemy team.

botrk is a good item into ranmus, but not good as the starting item because you are squishy af, you're aiming for a build like sunderer/eclipse + botrk + cleaver , cleaver as starting item is gonna give you more room to stall the game to reach full build and not get owned by the ranmus + ranmus usually starts thormail, which half counters botrk healing, while cleaver counters the armor. wrote this half video in, even bauss is pointing that out at min 15:58

He definitely could use pings more. His team would follow up better and his experience would change so much.
I think Baus was partly trolling for taunting early every time. If he would just not q into someone, auto them and let them deal damage to themselves and only then taunt into w for the finish... it would kill. Right now he is using his entire combo early on and then the opponent starts getting careful. Imagine if the enemy would get themselves to 70% health and then the combo kills.
