Another relatively short journey of only 43 miles across towards Chamonix and a small settlement called Les Houches. We were actually visiting Les Houches to view a car my daughter wanted to buy - their first French car :) - so a test drive and a chat with the seller !
It was a beautiful scenic journey and we were lucky to find another free park up almost at the foothills of Mont Blanc in a large gravel car park by a small lake and cafe - perfect for a one night stop :)) - map pin below.

Stayed at Annecy on a school trip 50 years ago and went to Mont Blanc as well. Beautiful place. Spent my 13th birthday in Geneva

Stunning as always. Love the architecture of the houses, we don't have that here in NZ. We have some good scenery but the buildings are modern or back to last century nothing like Europe has. Montblanc is beautiful 😊
It is just breath taking Pam - even 4k filming doesn't recreate the grandeur of seeing it with the eye ! Yes its French housing, but very Swiss in style being so close to Switzerland. Love all the wooden finishing to a lot of the buildings which are then adorned with flowers. You're scenery is amazing too !!

We're in Chamonix same day as you also in our Mobilvetta. Leaving tomorrow for the sad journey home to the UK.

@@motorhomingadventures so I hear! We’re just finishing a 5 week tour. Been to Belgium, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy and now France. Not looking forward to going home!
