The ones I noticed is some of the guest stars appear as different characters on the show. For instance, Jeffrey Tambor acting as Roper's new neighbor in spinoff, the psychiatrist Terri taken out for dinner, the dentist who had a crush on Terri, and the rich guy who wanted to merry Cindy. It was the same actor.

"The Ropers" was NOT a "flop" - on the contrary, it was a very good show and did VERY well, SO well in fact that ABC put it up against the hottest show of the time in the biggest prime time slot of the week, which was CHiPs on Saturday nights at 8 PM. The Ropers was the second best show but it lost out when put up directly against CHiPs - it was a shame that they railroaded a good show like The Ropers the way they did and very sad and unfair for the great actors in it (Audrey Lindley, Norman Fell, and Jeffrey Tambor).

John is shown in boxers, but men's shorts were SHORT in the 1970's. Wasn't too difficult for a man to mistakenly show off his grillmeat at a backyard barbecue! Regarding Three's Company, Suzanne and Joyce were funny, but John Ritter carried the show. But I will agree that the differences in salary were way out of line!

My comment is purely an unbiased observation based on current sociological trends. The all -white cast of “Three’s Company” (not to mention “Friends” et al) is now considered objectionable or offensive by the woke, cancel culture that is prevalent in today’s society and media.
I’ve noticed that the TV series of today are about 90 percent minority with gay and trans-gender cast members at the fore. If a heterosexual couple is included in the TV series, more likely than not, the couple is an inter-racial couple. If one wants to see an all-white cast...you’ll have to go back to the 1970’s or earlier.

Are you aware that a fundamentalist Christian was trying to have 3C removed from television?

I love it best when the Ropers were on the show. But I still liked in later after they left.
Also, the show used some cheap props. I just binged watched several episodes and you can see a big stain on their front door, this is visible throughout multiple episodes. Also one of the girl's head board on their bed had severe scratches all over it. And one seen in the kitchen showed a cabinet and they went away and came back to the cabinet and it was a different color. None of this stuff took away from the show but you would never see stuff like this now days in any show, I guess. But I can't say for sure because I do not watch anything new at all. I have not watched anything new on tv since the 80s.

My favorite episode is when Janet invites Jack to a company party. Jack mixes Valium pills with a pick me up drink and he turns up! I don't think anyone could ever duplicate him.
