I'm blown away by the craftsmanship and detailed to attention on every model. I got much respect for my mexican brothers and sisters who bust their tail for their art work and happy that their getting recognized for it . I hope to see more video's like this. Love this channel. I’m so proud of you Maya you’re Spanish has gotten better and even though your still struggling with communication it’s okay cuz girl even I’m a fluent Spanish speaker and I still have difficulty translating both languages. Keep up the good work Maya and you are so lucky to have gotten the experience of learning how much dedication it takes to make a wonderful creation of the Alebrijes 😍

I saw my chihuahua Molli in a dream a while back. She is now an alebrije en los cielos guiding souls. Her form was transparent and her hair appeared to be brilliant strands of gold. It was such a beautiful sight to behold.

Maya I love you so much. I’m learning to speak Spanish as a grown woman (it’s a struggle). I love that despite being limited in your vocabulary you still try. I usually get really shy and almost shut down because I’m scared to speak incorrectly and embarrass myself. I get into this whole mindset that I’m Mexican, I should just know this. Maya thank for being so brave, I love all of your videos.

I love this so much. My dad is from Oaxaca and I loved going to the markets when we would visit. El chocolate Oaxaqueño es una de las mejores cosas en este mundo.
My boyfriend's family just went to Oaxaca to pick up their Alebrije from Jacobo and Maria angeles from San martin Tilcajete, took almost 2 years to get done, wich combines their 4 tonas, a fusion with a rabbit, owl, chameleon and armadillo and it's beautiful! words cannot describe how gorgeous their work is! Hope you got yourself one!
When I went to Oaxaca to visit my grandfather (he lives there but is from Guerrero), my family and I slept the WHOLE DAY. It was that hot.

Mexican culture is so beautiful. I'm a mostly white United States girl, but my grandfather is Ojibwe and we celebrated aspects of the culture. I'm on a journey to relearn my Native ancestral language(Along with Spanish). Culture is amazing and gives a person a great sense of identity. I encourage everyone to embrace it and keep it alive so it doesn't fade away. Very sad that I don't know enough about my ancestral culture. Very sad that many Natives and African slaves lost their culture due to genocide and slavery in the U.S. Even most fully white Americans lost their European traditions along the way. The united states is a melting pot. It's beautiful, but also sad to see so much heritage forgotten.

Alebrijes can cost up to $500 dollars or even more depending on the size of the alebrije.
I think that they are doing this after how alebrijes blew up with coco. I like to see how happy and excited the alebrije makes were I hope that Warner bros is paying them well for their hard hard work. That dude said that it took a week to do the job of 4 months, it makes me think that they just rushed all of this stuff on them, and now he is probably overworked and tired as fuck. I love how my culture is going places where other people can see it and enjoy it, I hate how much work they threw on this ppls laps expecting great results with so little time. Espero que le hayan pagado en dólares.

Guapa is used for handsome, so usually for men. Just a tip so you don’t sound like such an American in Latin America
Guapa is fine in Spain. Guapo is for men, guapa is for women.
In Chile is fine too. Bonita is the same but more “sweet”

I feel Maya on the "Es como...la agua" part. The same thing happens when I try to talk to a Spaniard while I'm in Spain. Like, I can talk to my Colombian family no biggie, I may not be eloquent or whatever, but we can have a fun conversation. When I try to talk to a Spaniard I just met??
