Thank you so much for the nice explanation.. For Malayalam translation Kodungallur Kunjikuttan Thampuran's Devi Mahatmyam is the best. It is in sanskritised Malayalam and so it is as powerful as the Sanskrit edition.
Now it's not in print. I didn't know the reason. Kerala should wake up to preserve such gems . Orelse it is a great loss.
