    My granddaughter is 10 years old. 2 days ago one of her friends passed away. Everyone is so sad. But what we're doing in her memory is hanging beautiful pink items on our trees in front porches. I've been crocheting little pink hearts and stars and pink bows all day. I just came across this lovely tutorial! Perfect. I just finished the most beautiful pink wind spinner. So tomorrow my granddaughter and I will be hanging these in her front yard and memory of her beautiful friend Regan❤

    I love these spinners. Made three for my front porch. Made one for a spin mobile for a new babies crib, now I am making two for some gifts. They are so relaxing that I don’t know when I will stop. I am 83 years old and these so relaxing. They keep my blood pressure down.

      @caroleveson9710 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@cheriarmstrong5256 Hi. Considering I live in England there hasn’t been much rain at all since I hung them out! But what little rain we’ve had hasn’t affected them too much, I use acrylic yarn which seems to dry ok. I’ve also started crocheting over some strimmer wire on the last row, which really helps them hold their shape. Hope this helps ☺️

  • @Nacho-Mamma
    @Nacho-Mamma 3 ปีที่แล้ว +79

    If you start with 50 ch, each row would be as follows:
    1) 50 ch
    2) 50 sc
    3) 100 dc
    4) 300 dc
    5) 300 sc

    Love this...I will be making it in the “thin blue line” colors honoring both living and fallen police officers! Many Christmas’s ago I used this pattern to make garlands for decoration...starting with 300 chains! I made 9 or 10 of them!

So apart from little shawls for my granddaughter's dolls, she is going to have some "butterfly" Wind Spinners ;) thank you so much Anja xx

    Wow, thank you Anja! You've rekindled done great memories 💞 my grandmama ( great grandma) used to make these when I was a really small girl. I wild dance and play with them. She loved to hang them from the window valence in the very large bay window in her kitchen. As well as from the porch in the lil house out back where my Great Great Grandmama lived. I got my love of baking from her as well. Well always be a pie and cobbler girl over cakes any day !🥰
    Have a delightful day Anja❣
    Ps. I can't wait to share this with my youngest granddaughter who loves to Chet ( learning) at 6 years old. 🤗
