The new run kinda gives me the vibe that even though they're injured, they're running off adrenaline which is giving them the strength to run semi-normally. Cause when you're in a life-threatening situation, it's understandable for one to not be conscious of their injuries (fight or flight kicks in). And I like the fact that they stagger every once in a while; kinda like they're tripping over their own feet as they desperately try to get away.
The old animations felt like the survivors were so much more alert and trying to stay low and hide,plus old movement felt so much better...i miss this game..how it used to be..so much..
Old animation look more realistic because it shows survivors actually being afraid and careful with their movement. Now - it looks like they're not afraid anymore and walk like they're at home!
Which is ironically very meta and more realistic: the game was initially intended to be a stealth-based horror; looping was merely a byproduct of the survivors’ smaller collision boxes in comparison with the killers’ boxes, and the convenient placement of pallets often in between two objects… therefore the survivors could run a tighter circle than the killers around objects, effectively numbing the killers’ speed bonus by a good bit. So yeah… the survivors have canonically been running around things like this for millennia
360 flicking is probably the biggest difference, would love to see it from 2nd survivor perspective. You can still moonwalk the same, just the beginning feels weird.
I actually like the new standing animation cause I sometimes get caught hiding behind a big tree because of my broken back but now you stand straight which is useful

@@qos4111 Not one person on this game has ever said the previous animations were worse, not even remotely close, just take a look at the old animations, they looked and felt real, the looked up to date, what we have now feels like a complete downgrade and makes me feel like I'm controlling a character from a mobile version, these animations are too robotic and non human like

Running while injured is like that dark souls 3 glitch where you can run while doing actions like gesturing or estus or weapon arts like parting flame or neck swipe. it's like your legs are completely separate from the rest of your body
I wish they didn't remove the locomotion outright and opted to just tweaking it further to still allow all the techs people like. It just looked so good!

I do agree with some, but the injured animation looks so stupid, your upper half of your body is stopped while your legs only move, but at the same time the difference in the animation is so large people have to learn how to 360 and Aaron again

I mean the graphic settings and flinging the mouse all over the place on the new movement side is of course going to make it appear worse; but overall I think most of the new animations are better. Except the injured animation, that one is fucking terrible. There are a lot of new really cool animations left out of here too. Like the new doctor madness 3 animations are sick as hell I love them.

Lore wise I like it, it's as if they are becoming more numb to the trials, slowly becoming the empty husks like so many before.
The older 360 animation was more responsive and smooth and less likely to have you just stand still

The injured part,, old walking and crouching seemed to have a crippling visual. More realistic👍
They made this game less scary on scary in survivor side they made the survivors look NOT scared and more comfident I mean look how they walk.
I hope they find a way to revert movement without reverting animations (aside from injured running).
