Question for Adrian (and perhaps for Nav as well): How do you get started with real estate investing as someone who is completely new and doesn't even own a house of my own?
There is no shortcut however.... it will likely be the biggest financial decision of your life and it will take years and years to save up enough for the downpayment alone, plus the closing costs etc but it is worth it!
Yes you can also utilize leverage with options however, with real estate you get the incredible power of a SECURED loan! Your house is collateral which is what gets you those incredibly low interest rates
There is always risk when lending out money but from the bank's perspective, there is no "safer" bet than lending out money for real estate. Worst case scenario, they get your house
@Nav one question, i invested in my first property in US as intl investor and even though the property is on long term rental and 100% Occupancy since last 2 years, one thing that bothers me is that this house is only paying for its own monthly mortgage, how do I grow further from here? What should be my next move?
