- In this video we demonstrate how to setup and use Apache JMeter 3.0 to test mobile applications at scale. With JMeter, we setup a proxy that we then connect to with a mobile device. From there we demonstrate how to record a JMeter script while we test an application. Finally, we re-run our recorded test at scale not only within JMeter, but RedLine13 as well.

*note, if you're testing with iOS, an easy way to install the CA certificate is to email it to yourself and then directly open the attached file on your phone.

I am getting "certificate_unknown" error in the below screenshot, Where to find and How to install "Android Certificate? And once i set proxy configuration to my mobile, Internet is not working, Unable to login to application itself to record transaction. how to overcome this? I need internet connection to login to app. Since we set proxy, internet doesnt get it seems. Please provide solution.

I tried all the steps, facing issue..Internet is not working with Proxy on the mobile device when we configure the mobile device and JMeter. Can you please help me?

@@ashishsharma30511 Apparently the computer with jmeter need to set to manual proxy. Once switch on, change to localhost or whatever name it suppose to be and set to the same port number as set in mobile.
As long both mobile n computer cannot connect to internet, it means manual proxy is working. =.= Got a bloody headache from all the testing just to get it to work

Hi,I am using jmeter 4.0 i am unable to record results.The issues i am facing are below.
1.Do I need to update the certificate in my computer every time when I press "Start" from test script recorder?
2.When i add my computer ip in my mobile then my internet will not work and due to that, i am unable to record any of my action in jmeter.
Kindly help me out.

There is an expiry date though on the certificate so need to take note. It usually expires within 7 days. Need to modify settings to extend cert expiry.

Hi Dhaya, there are two easy solitons to install the .CRT:
1. Attach .CRT file to an email, email it to yourself, open and run the attachment in your phone.
2. Use a file manager solution like Android Device Manager or Handshake to migrate the .CRT from your computer to your phone into a folder of choice.
Instillation for both methods involves simply opening the .CRT on your Android device.
upload your crt file in Gdrive and access the Gdrive from ur mobile app.

My another Sub- category Url having ID based URL. Here it is possible to apply load test Why because this URL having id this ID based Test only for particular ID.
2)felda/wpApp/api.php?mod=posts&method=ratetopost&post_id=510&comment_author_email=t_content=hello&user_id=28. ( "ID=28")--
It is possible to do LOAD test "ID "Based url's.
low voice volume
One of the worst interfaces I've ever seen. Non-intuitive, overly complex. Hard to follow (especially for the guy performing the demo).
