Overbelt magnetic separator

Overbelt magnetic separators are perfect for removing or extracting ferromagnetic objects larger than 0,5 mm that come mixed with another material on a belt conveyor underneath.
Pieces of material that overbelt magnetic separator collects can either be waste and undesired contamination from the stream bellow, or the desired components of this stream.
Some examples of their use are:
* protection of equipment like mills, cutters, etc. from ferromagnetic hard objects that could damage rollers, knives and housings
* extraction of ferromagnetic pieces that come shredded or milled for recycling
* when metal contamination has to be removed so that the final product is clean and safe for end consumer (example of chamomile processing)
Their main advantage is that they work continuously as the process they are integrated in. These separators are self cleaning, meaning that they do not need frequent dissassembly in order to clean metal objects attracted to it.
Magnetic force field strength (H) can be altered using different dimensions, types of magnets, distance from the magnet, and so on. Permanent neodymium magnets offer great results and strong magnetic force fields.
