Got mine in 2003 i think. Still working perfectly! sound quality is awesome. Sure it lacks some bluetooth connectivity to play music from your phone but I managed to plug it on my computer with an optical cable and sound in games and deezer is so beyond the logitech 5.1 kit i had. 17 years and still kicking, they don't make products like that now.

I bought ones, the top part was called SCEH 750 or something it paid 700 pounds stirling, i listened to metallic's Synphony and Metallica live by sitting next to the speakers ears close up, my god the sounds is INCREDIBLE, you hear EVERYTHING

To test the sound and the bass I suggest you to try "Sadeness" by Enigma. Pure Techincs state of sound.
Technics Hifi's are well made. This is why I prefer made in Japan electronics to the made in china stuff.
That particular model and the EH 750 was the best hifi stereo system, so much further in technology particular with the year of manufacture around 1999. I remember I purchased one and it was $1,200. Back then it was a shit load of money. I loved the fact it had so many settings , the surround setting options, multi rear , virtual rear and , centre focus options with a fantastic a seat position function that can be adjusted to suite where in the room you are sitting... Awesome high quality sound and terrific bass and volume. The surround speakers to top off for a great movie experience also. Ahead of its time before 5,1 channels were introduced also was brilliant if. I still have mine , the SH-EH750 model. Only thing is the CD stacker doesn't quite work like it used too , occasionally it will work and play a CD , but is rare now or takes a long time to start playing. The cassette deck still working fine and just the balls and sound this machine produces is , to this day ... outstanding. Also has the extra sub woofer plug as too as the powerful in built super woofers along with the mid , and tweeters. I can't say enough about just how awesome these units are
you can you jst replace the CD stacker. is yours the system with the black speaker and surround speaker covers? If you look at each unit, they're named. Like i have the last one ever made the SA-DV290, but thats just the name of the top unit, the tape deck is called SC-DV290. Just type in SA-EH 750 and you'll find it cheap to for an INDREDIBLE stereo system, only issue i there#s no optical why!

No , with this model I think , has the 5.1 channel inputs to make the surround speakers even better. Well mine has the 5.1 channel inputs that also includes a extra sub input. Mine being the SH-EH 750. one of the very 1st system to have the 1st 5.1 channel capabilities I'd say. They are awesome machines and would still to this day say , around 17 or 18 years later can produce pretty much as good a sound to a lot of home theatres , except for before the HDMI cable was introduced and was only the red , yellow & white plugs. 👍
Definitely the surround speakers are like icing on a great cake , the 2 main ones alone even sounded great. The only thing I didn't like about these particular systems , is that when listening to the radio stations, the surround speakers wouldn't work
There was 3 model to this series I had this series but not this model obviously my dad bought brand new wen it came out a year after I was born I still have the stack but my mum threw away the speakers 😔

This is great. I feel like my dad when he thought his record player was the shit. I had a hi fi in the late 90's and I thought they were the shit.

Oh I loved my own technics..still got it but only real down side is I cant play my music from my phone..got the cables from maplin but very crackly and sound not good..

On a lead from the back. There was an audio in on it. Was a simple set up. mine was the DVD player type so maybe that’s why I had a audio in. Not sure if all models had it. It was perfectly clear on it. Use to have my iPod linked to it.
I have a cable I use from my phone to the DVD input and it works well
Use a Ugreen bluetooth reciever for Audio connect to rca aux input. Simple its like a kick as bluettth speaker.
get a male x2 RCA to male x1 Jack cable. Thats what I did with mine.

Technics series SL DV250/280/290/Eh790 can be exchange all components to each others means i can change SL dv280 with SL dv290 or 250 or SL dv790 having same connector ant mechanism, please guide me i have Technic SL dv280 5 Disc dvd/Cd changer which is not working while playing dvd movies so guide me that i can replace with SL DV290/250/190 for playing dvd disc waiting from you

Cumperi 4 cabluri cu lungimi de 2m, recomandabil culorile care sint indicate pe conectorul de la difuzoare fiindca pe amplificator sint aceleasi culori. Daca nu gasesti poti folosii si rosu-negru fiindca se gasesc mai usor in comert. Apoi souround-urile au nise conectori tata RCA care sint linga conectorul de la difuzoare. Este relativ simplu. Mult noroc.

I had the dvd version of this and made the mistake of selling it five years ago wish I could get another but they stopped making it. It's a r nice oolong unit thy should make them again.
I still hung on to mine. Was way too good to get rid off it. The only problem with mine is the CD player doesn't always play. Everything else if mint. Can't say enough good things about this beast

I have the 5 stacker cd/DVD player that works. I picked just that part of the unit thinking it would be compatible with the EH-750 earlier model. The plugs all connected to mine , it's just i got very low sound thro the speakers , I would have to turn the volume up to 0 to slightly hear the sound.
They sound just as good as any new home theatre systems out there, considering after around 20 yrs of advanced technology, I would have thought that the new systems would have come along way , but not to be.
@Dawid Jandzinski if you look you will find one up for sale on eBay. It's selling from England as pounds so I am not sure how expensive it is in au $

@@danbirtan5641 the model before that was the best , the eh-750. It had balls and the bass sounded great.
I paid $1200 way back in 1999. Was the top of the range on the market way back then , I used it for over a year as for my home theater , I had no clue what 5.1 channel ment , so I looked into it and couldn't believe what I was missing out on back then , the 5.1 channel was awesome sounding back in the days before HDMI cables were even heard of. Just used the red white and yellow cables to hook it up to my tv and was blown away. Had brilliant surround sound with awesome settings that include even , seat position, the multi rear surround settings etc. I still have mine packed up in a wardrobe. The only thing that sux is , the 5 stacker CD player stopped working, apart from that , the cassette deck still working and everything else. I been searching on eBay regularly for one up for sale , but they are hard to come across.
@@darrenjhodgey4734,MY BEST AUDIO SYSTEMS I'VE HAD UNTIL NOW WERE SONY MHC RG-470 AND AN OLD SONY BX-5 ,I THINK THE BASS SOUNDS BETTER FROM A SONY STEREO SYSTEM THAN ANY OTHER SYSTEM, IT SURELY SOUNDS BETTER THAN TECHNICS OR PANASONIC, NOW I BOUGHT PANASONIC MAX 4000 ,IT COST ME A LOT OF MONEY AND I'M NOT SATISFIED BY IT.
