  • Partitioned the HDD on my Thinkpad t430s to install Windows XP x64 Edition, it was a bit of pain as drivers are sort of hard to find especially the HD 4000 iGPU, and the WIFI card. Works well except in games like Minecraft, the FPS is bad due to GPU driver optimization, not sure about other games.

I have never seen Windows XP "Execute" a startup file like that... Unless I'm having a brain fart...
Crazy though - The Lenovo T series, were TANKS back in the day... They sure don't make them like the used to anymore.

Im using a custom ISO that has all the updates and Im using Vistas bootloader to be able to boot Windows Vista as well. Yeah this Thinkpad is a tank, practically is dustproof since the temps on it are surprisingly good for a 10 year old laptop.

How you installed XP? i just got a bluescreen when i start XP setup
    "STOP: 0x0000007B"
Do i have to set anything special in bios before?
    Thanks!

No matter if i set it to Compatibility or AHCI i still get that bluescreen. Security Chips is disabled, Secureboot is disabled. UEFI/Legacy is set to Both, legacy first. with CSM suport enabled. i tried 5 versions of xp32, 5 version of xp64. And I tried to feed the drivers into the XP installation with a floppy drive, all the ones I could find. I still get the blue screen.@@2009Windows7

I don't know why, but I'm so triggered by seeing the recycling bin in the upper left corner instead of in the bottom right.

Im used to it being on the upper left corner which is why I put it there
