    Hey Rob… gotta give kudos to you for working and implementing exercises and movements that work specifically for YOU and not necessarily for anyone else. Although pitching is based on certain common movements, everyone is different and moves somewhat differently from everyone else. Great job!!!

    “I just need to find mechanics that work and stick to it and not go back and forth” - I feel this man. Holy crap do I feel this. Struggled with this a lot of my career and just now starting to really stick to what feels right. I think the same is coming for you! Pitchers…. We are just some head cases lol

    Just a content creation I would love to see happen. Maybe in the winter going down to Arizona on throwing live abs with like Mike Pascoe and Trev?

    I had the same problem of leading with my front leg. I started holding torsion in my back leg longer which made me keep more weight over my back leg longer and delay the internal rotation of my knee into opening, which in turn naturally kept my front side closed.

      Yeah such a fine line between getting stuck in loading phase and not loading at all lol

    Great video as I’ve learned more about my mechanics I’ve also had a very aggressive lead leg and this video really helped to open my mind to some solutions.

  • @carlinleavelle9589
    @carlinleavelle9589 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Morning sir, random question here just from an observation. Is there any specific reason why you don’t lock out your front leg when you’re coming forward? I notice that it stays bent. Obviously everyone’s different but just didn’t know if there was a reason or not. Lmk! :)

    • @robbyrow
      @robbyrow  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not optimal by any means but it seems to happen when I'm long tossing at low intensity.. a byproduct of my pelvis positioning

  • @zumachuma
    @zumachuma ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sup Coach,
    LUV me suh Robby honesty. Great to see you makin progress 'on the fly' !
    What I'm seein: Same prob as I was havin: Lead/Glove-arm too 'upsy-downsy'. Should be circling body at BELOW Nipples-high--almost Belly-button high.
    Less IS more.
    The pull-downs and long-toss hurt you that way. Mound requires lower glove-circle. Fixing this will fix your in-organic load&stride (same here).

    • @robbyrow
      @robbyrow  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Love where you're at with this.. if it gets too high it won't act as a counter balance. You'll notice off the mound it tends to drop.. even when I do max LT + PD's it will drop just because my body is organizing to load more effectively so it has to drop.. Much love!

    • @zumachuma
      @zumachuma ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robbyrow I used to think "Counterbalance" was important too--a la Aroldis, etc.--but look how much LESS effort Cole gets his 102 with, and all he does is drop that glove low-&-out, and then anchor it down. + Look at N. Ryan, reaching 101 at 42 with a 'hip-high swing-around' glove-move.
