Genuinly so happy there are actually tutorials that are aesthetic instead of those grannt-looking ones

Great tutorial! No annoying music or preface yapping, just a quiet voice giving clear directions--love it. I used cotton ribbon yarn. I found that using the same colored stitch markers really helped me keep track of where I was with the video. Once she started the thermal stitch section, I left the slip stitch marker in while doing the slip stitch--saved having to remove and put back. I did have to rip and restart while using trial and error to make it smaller (my version of practicing a new piano piece) but each time I got better and understood more.

I think the most confusing part were the stitch markers. They were a bit excessive in my opinion. Other than that, the bag turned out super cool!

i am literally so cinfused. when i tried to crochet the bag it kept getting wider and wider with the themalr stitches not higher, and i did EXACTLY how u did. and nobody else seem to have that problem....
edit: i never did anything wrong i was just inpacient, the pattern i perfect and so the tutorial, i loved my bag (i unraveled mine tho, but its so sismple i could do it again without pattern,) i would appreiciate if ppl not would comment my "skill issue" cuz nothing happend
You’re adding extra stitches on accident, a good way to bypass this, would be to count your stitches starting from the initial chain

A little hard to follow, some mistakes here and there, but overall fun pattern. I made mine in half double crochets and it gave me a nice size.

it could be the size of needle, type of yarn or how you make yours stitches (loose or tight). In the first row, you can make more than 30 chains or/and reapet the third row, maybe it help you.
Why can't we just use single crochet stiches the thermal stiches gave me a head ache
Thermal stitches are super sturdy.. they take a little longer but you'll happy with a thicker and longer lasting bag :))

Hola! Cuantos gramos usaste? Que tipo de hilo y qué numero de aguja y hilo fue el que vos usaste, ya se que dice el video pero también quiero leer algo que te funcionó personalmente
Yo use un hilo 100% acrilico que compre en el bazar mas cercano que tengo, la aguja use la misma que la del video que ahora no me acuerdo cual era y en total use unos 140gr algo asi, fue una medeja y media. Segui todas las instrucciones tal cual, no cambie nada y me quedo igualito

I’m not sure if I’m seeing this right and I’m doing this through closed captioning and the pattern written at the top, but on row 1 when you remove the first stitch marker it’s only going through FLO right?

I get lost at "turn your work". Why do we do this? Maybe understanding why will help me notice when I'm doing it wrong.
the thermal stitch is there to give structure to the bag. so when u do it u only go into one loop of the chain( one chain looks like a V becuz of the two loops) and to make the bag look finished ( and add structure) we turn our work to use the other side of the V ( the second loop). tell me if u understand it and sorry for replying 4 months late, i doubt ur still facing this problem now lol

I think you are adding extra stitchs,so before you start count your stitchs.

It is just the first stitch of the new row (the one you slip stitched into) and the last stitch of the row (right before the slip stitch)
hii, i’d like to make a smaller one, do you think 26 chains instead of 30 would work as well? if yes, instead of 27 stitches for the first row should i do 23?
Yes 26 will work fine but as shown in the video it's supposed to be 26 instead of 27 so should do 22 when she says 26

I need some tips. for some reason my chain at the beginning and the first row on top of it starts to swirl/ bend instead of staying straight. I tried making it tighter but that didn’t work and I tried to be looser but that also didn’t work.
Hey! I’ve been crocheting for years now, I can’t remember what I used to do that would also cause it to twist but I consistently pinch my row making sure the “v” pattern is always facing towards me, trying to keep the tension consistent also helps. For the first row I will have a looser tension or size up a hook so the next row is nice and easy!
