One of the best parts is that in the demo version of the scene, he looked down at the phone before playing the music. At launch, they patched the scene so that he doesn't even look at the phone. His thumb was hovering over it lol

My favorite thing about this scene is the implication the gang walked all the back to the entrance in silence as Jack had his earbuds in.

Gotta give the man some time with his music. Jack's friends are respectful of when he's in the zone, can't just snap him out of it willy-nilly.

fun act. the song is a separate audio file playing overtop of the cutscene meaning If you have a slower hardrive or playing on console the loading can vary in length causing the song to play longer duration. Due to the game loading quicky here, the song gets prematurely cut off and you miss part of the chorus.

It's still wild that this is basically the prequel to the first Final Fantasy game, meaning they had smartphones and earbuds in an old medieval fantasy setting.
The "Stranger" in the title hinted isekai element in this game, but beyond that it's huge spoiler.
It's even got a VTuber connection in its voice cast, as Cy Yu voiced Jed in English!
Well, they had a space fortress with robots in the first Final Fantasy, so it's not too crazy to imagine smartphones and earbuds
they are Lufenians. They are able to travel to different dimensions, travel though time and create time loops. this is all from the original FF1.

To be fair, that looks and sounds like something that would casually happen on Devil May Cry. The bizarre part is being part of Final Fantasy canon. But again, Final Fantasy has a whole roster of edgy dense characters.

I saw the stream was up while on a short break at work, and caught exactly this part of it. Amazing timing. I've seen that cutscene before, but it's still absolutely hilarious.

I've played Final Fantasy since the 90s on Super Nintendo. My Favorite being FF6. And I can tell you right now... Jack Garland is the best Final Fantasy character of all time.

It will give you different feeling if you play FF1 first or will play FF1 after finishing it. Not amazing tier game but its fun!
It achieved a weird balance of writing so bad, its good. To this day, I'm not sure how intentional it was. Gameplay was solid enough, and seeing it again reminded me that I never played the DLC. I really ought to reinstall it.

This game is super slept on. I genuinely love this game. Yeah, jack comes off as edgelord meme man, but then half way through the game suddenly clicks it all makes sense. Then the ending is actually amazing. The DLC for it is awesome too, with more jobs, epic bosses and takes place after the ending of the game with the potential for a sequel. A lot of fan service in this game if you are a final fantasy head. Like each stage is a reference to a different final fantasy and you hear remixes of the song from said as the BGM. Do what I did and peer pressure your friends to play this game with you since it is co op. You all can have different builds and pretty much fight the bosses like raids cause they up the HP for how many people are playing. Co op just feels like the peak way to play this game IMO.

This game wasn't exactly well received so I put it off for a long time, but I'm really glad I decided to pick it up later cause its an absolute riot.
I hope they'll continue playing it cause there are more scenes like this in the game.
The bigger problem is that it was an exclusive and it took around two years to get a proper PC version.
