Those look very good. The 602 and 602M lasted boots from Parkhurst are made in Spain these days (post-Covid). The stitchdown 618 lasted boots are made in Portugal. Parkhurst is in my top two favorite boot makers, for their lasts and the leather offerings. Glad you got a pair and that you like them.
Hi Ryan, 👏 I'm glad the Parkhurst boots are so far so good! The Waxy Commander is a great leather option for your first Parkhurst. They look great on you.
I've been holding out on Parkhurst so far because most of their 602M Allens and Richmonds right now are in some sort of rough leather. Not the biggest fan of rough so I'm waiting them to release more smooth leathers on that last. I saw a few pretty nice ones in previous batches that I missed, so hopefully we can get some new ones soon.
The seconds in the waxy commander are a great deal based on the description of the "defects"; mostly inconsistent distribution of wax in the leather which is easily fixed with a bit of boot wax. I have a pair in the rust waxy leather from 2023 and periodically add a bit of wax to the toe and heel as it wears away. The welt join on your pair is somewhat typical even for first grade though some of my five pairs of Parkhurst have cleaner welt joints.
Parkhurst makes nice boots especially for the price. I am a 12D and only go down a half in these and most good brands. Exception being the Viberg and Whites MP boots which are a full size down. Really surprised you like the fit in so many brands going a full size down. I like the toe room with the half down.
@@davids8267 I think you would stay with an 8 but not exactly sure. Reach out to Andrew their instagram or on the website and he will give you sizing advice.

@@tony_r_pierce they are great. Good recommendation!
Parkhurst is an amazing brand. I love my Richmond boots. It’s a great deal when a sample sale comes along.

They look great! Thanks for the review

I love all my Parkhust boots. I’m size 13 on sneakers and I went to size 11 on my Niagaras and they fit me perfect.
@@Will-yp6ny wow that’s a dramatic difference. I do think I could were a 11.5 in this last.
Look forward to your comparison video.

Beautiful leather.

Hey YouShoe how would you compare Parkhurst to Iron Rangers or Urban Wolf Club?
@@M1_u I think Parkhurst is a little dressier than RW or UWC. Their quality is great and they are a little wider than those brands.
If I wear a size 8E in grant stones Leo last boots, what size would I wear in parkhurst? Thanks

haha I caught the flaw. Look closely at the corner of the heel
Great boots and review! You should try next their Delaware in Maryam’s horse butt; something else!. Cheers
@@TheheritagetributeThanks! If Andrew runs horse butt again I will Dey have to pick up a pair.
Do you only like brown/tan boots?
@@AJ-by6pd Seems that way doesn’t it. I’m not as adventurous as most but I will have to be if I want to keep this channel interesting.
