Just a tip from another channel. Clear the mud piled to the right, as the beavers store it for faster repairs. They work very fast anyways as they have a lot of materials. So might not slow them down much.
Last weekend I was at a flea market and bought a black and white photo with "engineering handwriting" at the bottom showing a 10' x 10' concrete box culvert for the price if $3238. I laughed and laughed. It was a mighty fine culvert! My husband just rolled his eyes. He thinks this pastime is a little odd.
With regards to getting the grate out, you'll probably have to lift it straight up as it will catch if you try to lift it one sided. Great video, hello from the UK
Another great job. But I have to ask about the grey mud. I have never seen grey mud! I understand soil differences in regions, but that color just intrigues me. We have red clay mud and regular brown dirt mud up this way. But grey! To cool
I assuming it is a light grey clay with white sand loamy mix which happens near river deltas in the Mississippi River Basin and surrounding areas. It looks weird to me as well. I grew up in the red clay of the Appalachian Mtns.
