HiTechelElectronis is awesome. Very professional, quick to respond and great communications. The motherboard in my DVD Navigation drive went out. (insert disk was on the screen) The Honda dealer wanted $1600 to replace the entire unit as they don't do repairs on Navigation systems. HiTech repaired it for only $550. Getting the drive out from under the seat was a little more difficult than the video showed. You need a 10mm ratchet wrench with an 8 inch extension. The hard part was unclipping the connectors off the backside. Take a lot of pictures while you was doing it so you can reference them when you reinstall.
I had three (maybe four) connections to unhook. There were a few extra slots on the back of the unit so take plenty of pictures before you start disconnecting.
Larry Gannon Hey Larry, I just bought an 07 Odyssey and my navigation works but just looks old and outdated. I see I can purchase the new navigation from Honda for $100 off there website. Do you know by chance if that will update the looks of it or just the streets and things? Have you updated yours and it changed the look or just updated street info? Thanks for the time
Yes, I have the latest updated DVD. It does update the streets but I think the UX is still very similar to the older DVD. It was worth purchasing for me because there are a lot of new streets in my area.
Thanks for your reply! I've taken all 4 screws out and I still can't get the thing to budge to even look at the connectors. It's like it is still screwed in somehow. Any ideas?
My screen is blank until I open the CD unit and it goes in the flat position the warning comes up that you should not put your coffee cup on the display . Press the open / close button the display goes black again as it becomes vertical
Are you sure that's the problem, I'm having this issue but weird the fact that not only the screen but the clock and cd changer nothing works so it's hard to believe.
Hello. I have 2006 odyssey touring. I had sliding door issue so i was playing around with the fuses. I reset and then the radio amd nav screen was asking for the code. Beforeni could put the code, the nav screen went black. There no power to the nav screen. No clock. It doesnt open for the cd. The nav drive below driver seat seems to have power. I have checked all the fuses. What could be my issue?
Mine just goes from the Honda start up screen to a checkered glitched looking screen. Never goes black. I can’t find anything on how to go about finding the issue.
The Monitor is fine most likely the navigation drive unit under the seat is faulty. You could send it to Alpine Electronics in California to get bench tested and repaired.

The navigation drive unit under the seat has a bad main board. You needs to have it repaired or replaced. Please check our web site for prices. hitechserv.com/
I bought a odyseyy and the navigation as well as the TV in the rear was stolen is it possible to replace them from salvage yard and if so what all needs to be done.
Thanks for the video, the screen has not been working for the last month and did not realize that the door was open.

I'm wondering if you could help me. I've taken all the screws out. How many connectors are there to unclip and where are they?

Would a missing navigation module also be the cause of a lack of backup camera on the screen?
It can also be the fuses check all of them before do this!!

You need to send your navigation drive unit for repair.
Same for mines

The clock gets data from your navigation.

Hi TechElctronic, My screen is not showing anything is completely dead, is it DVD GPS drive problem?
THX
Most likely it is the Nav Drive.
I bought a odyseyy and the navigation as well as the TV in the rear was stolen is it possible to replace them from salvage yard and if so what all needs to be done.
Yes, you can replace them with a used one but we do not sell any, please contact you local salvage yards.

i have a honda oddysey 2006 navy system not wrkn.
I'm in long island NY
How do I disable the screen? It's very bright and it's outdated so I just use Google Maps
You could remove the display and unplug it from the back or just add a filter to the screen to reduce brightness.
Can i have the address for company to send unit of navigation system for my Honda odyssey 2008?
Our website address: www.hitechserv.com/
Would this cause the power sliding doors not to work as well?
No, not related.
Check the fuses and put oil on them
