    This is a marvelous plane. I bought one years ago when they first came out, the silver one. I got a lot of enjoyment from that plane. I eventually sold it to a clubmate who still has it. You flew the B17 very well. I hope you still have it and are still enjoying it.

      @@Jeffroe111 hey there man, there is one issue with the plane. you must put lock tight on the landing gear wire, where it is inserted into the retracts. mine come loose and then it doent taxi. also those C clamps that hold the wheels on can pop off on takeoff and landing. and the foam holding the gear in will often break on landing. but other than that, flies great!
      blue skies!

    Nice flights! I had one that I sold to a friend of mine a while back. Recently he let me video it and fly it again. I really miss that plane! Flies amazing! I fly it always on high rate since it's such a gentle flyer. It'll roll, loop and fly inverted with no issues. Just be gentle with the elevator and throttle pulling out of loops. I might need to get another one.

      This thing is awesome! Definitely plenty of elevator authority, obviously a lil less on the ailerons but one day I'll have the courage to roll it! Thanks for the comment!

    What do you use to film your flights by yourself? ive been trying to do so with my gopro, but its not near a clear video like yours is.
    I love the plane i just got one myself, and did the Bit O Lace livery.

      I use a GoPro 8 on a forehead mount. Obviously don't get any zoom but it's always given me clear video. This plane is awesome!

      We're flying with a Spektrum NX10 bound to a Spektrum AR637T, and we tied together two 3000mAh 3s 40C packs! We're still playing around with some of the batteries and the battery placement so if we change it up I'll let you know. I also do a lot of my flying on the Spektrum DX9. The NX10 is my dad's which he really likes.

    Great flight... well done. She looks great. Would you detail what you did for the 100 hours put in?

    • @Jeffroe111
      @Jeffroe111  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Definitely a beautiful airplane. I doubt it was 100 hours but my dad and I did put a lot of time into it. The basic build required putting on your own decals from a couple choices. My OCD took a long time with that and then I ironed them on based on their recommendation. Took time to glue all the required parts together which includes the right and left wing, and horizontal and vertical stabilizers to the fuselage. Had to plug in and screw in the motors and verify that was done correctly so they turn the correct direction, the cowlings were stubborn and took time to line up and then install and screw in the props x4. Had to assemble and install the turrets, one of which I had to take apart and reglue, and all the gun barrels had to be installed by either drilling, gluing, or both. After that was all done, we had to figure out where to glue the Spektrum AS3X receiver we chose and decided on the wing and had to cut out part of the fuselage so it and all the wires would fit inside when you screw the wing onto the fuselage. Then work on the control rods and horns, trim those manually, work on the CG, figure out where to place the two batteries and probably a few other things I left out. And then program the transmitter which took some time and then calibrate the motors with the transmitter. It definitely took some time, was a labor of love, but well worth it!
