Great video and hillariously pointed giggle after you introduced Paul Allens yacht.... Perfectly expresses the silliness of that thing...
great to meet you guys in English Harbour! let us know where to send the next bottle of whiskey.... or maybe we'll just meet you there!? hahaha! take care, Malin and Johann
It was great to meet you too guys! Let's see how long the bottle will last for ;-) We'll let you know so you can come and met us up :) Say hi to everyone from us!
Fantastic video. You two do the best mix of sailing, island touring, fly overs, etc. of anyone I know on TH-cam. I'm sending this one to my friend Mike who has a boat in English Harbor. Thanks. Oh - Yohan, when you get to the US, we have stores here that sell hiking shoes - you might want to pick up a pair. Ron
Great video this time, really a great mixture of sailing, hiking, drone shots (amazing by the way), watching nice boats, sunsets, blue waters, geography lessons as well as history. Your the awesomest sailing blog. Vänliga hälsningar från Falköping
You guys have a very nice relaxed style to your videos, very watchable. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the next one as have visited Barbuda and loved it. Cheers, stay safe.
Watching this in October 2020 in South West England, imagine my surprise to see Johann drinking a TX Whiskey... I am drinking one here as well! If you find yourself in Fort Worth, visit the distillery - the plumbing and carpentry alone is pure art...
Oh Wow, I love the Cowboy 🤠 Hat the Texans gave you 17:13 And that bottle of TX whisky you Still had 1/2 of it left when Barry Old SeaDog climbed up on the back of RAN for a drink 🥃 in Curaçao 🇨🇼 Pretty Kool.
I have been following you since you left sweden. I think you two are the best of all vloggers. Delos is nice too, vagabond changed two a cat, very disappointing! Keep it up!! Fair winds from a fellow world sailor in the Netherlands
Great, Johan and Malin. One more fantastic place and more friends. The moored vessels are magnificent. Do they make free tours? Lol Ops! I forgot to comment. Johan, Malin knows how to imitate the goat... Very good Malin! kkk
I think you guys are great! Video's keep getting better and better. Would however liked to have seen more of Antigua other harbors. Antigua looks amazing. Thanks guys for taking us along. JC
Johan and Mailn, I was on the lookout for the SV RAN last week while my wife and I were sailing in the eastern Caribbean. We were sailing on the Carnival Sunshine ship. :-)We were in St Maarten, St Kitts , Puerto Rico and Grand Turks. It is my dream to sail on a mono hull sail boat. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us! Honnör to you and Malin!
Great episode guys, was nice watching Malin at helm 👍 Amazing footage from Antigua. When we were down there 2 weeks ago the Classic Old Yacht Regatta was about to start. In addition to super yachts you have shown there were a lot of old super huge yachts, was an impressive view ⛵😁
It looks like your parents went back to Sweden, Johan. I hope they enjoyed themselves.(It looked like they did) Watching you set there with your whisky and Texas hat made me think of Johan Blohm. I had emailed him the year that Iceland had the volcano go off(two or three years ago) and he said he was wanting to move to the American Southwest for the winters. It seems the snow & ice were getting to him!!!(;>)
Your videos are sooo amazing! Great pleasure to look. But....I missed the flip-flop-problem this time :-) LOL, just joking! Best whishes and fair winds! Sabine
awesome video guys love it. A quick question what wind generator do you have now and do you like it? Is it quiet and how is it in low winds? I am looking foe one myself.
Aleksander Doba first voyage from Senegal to Brazil( 5394 kilometers) in 2010 set a record for the longest open-water crossing ever undertaken by a kayak, at roughly 99 days and he was 65 years old.
I don't think OKTO is Paul Allen's. It may be his, he does have a super yacht named Octopus, BUT he has another yacht in the Cayman Islands called Tatoosh a 160 Million EU super yacht he's selling for 125Mil EU. In any case OKTO is pretty amazing apparently at cruising speed (16 knots) the sound level inside the boat is something like 47 decibels! From what I have read, when you are on board you may not be aware that the yacht is moving if you aren't looking outside. 47 decibels is just a bit louder than bird calls and libraries (44 decibels) Oh yeah, it also has a top speed of 18 knots and 5000 hp of engine power.
As always I thoroughly enjoyed this video. 👍 I have to ask this sorry - why do you both hike in flip flops, especially with the recent experience of trauma in the foot department?
Pretty sure OKTO isn't one of Paul Allen's fleet. Okto is roughly half the size of his monster, Octopus, and Meduse is his yacht that is in 200 foot range. He also has a 300 footer, or did. Looking at the registration on the other ships in the harbor it appears all of those were built for vacation rentals, so probably all belong to the same rental company. Okto will run you $400,000 a week to rent plus fuel, food, VAT and tips.

Please, when one pronounces les saintes there is no s at the end so it sounds like saint 🤓. I lived on Guadeloupe for 3 months and loved seeing it again and want to go back
I spent 14 years of my youth in Nelsons Dockyard .... in the officers quarters and on various boats.... went to school in Barbados and Antigua that part is pretty forgettable....re the cannon we put 14 pounds of powder in one of those .🎶...... it made a lot of noise .....
But it's a bit different when you standup and paddle as it's not nearly as efficient. Has to be built that way to store food and a dry place to sleep. Pretty amazing feat.
Are you interested in Beach Volley Ball on Video with other Cruisers. Might be fun and loser buys the beer could be a good fund raiser Challenge someone get it on Video, have bragging rights kicking ass all over the Caribbean.
Captain Sailnator If anything, he paddled standing, but he certainly didn't, as you say, 'stand by paddling'. He stood by standing, and he paddled by paddling.
Johan, the lad who hikes in flipflops!
Malin...the goat whisperer. Her goat impression is unrivaled.😉👍
I am 67 years old with no wife or children but if I would have had kids either one of you would be my pick!!!!

Wishing I could click like over and over again. ,,,,,,,/),,,,,,, fair winds. Hiking trail? Get our flip flops, we gotta go.
That cowboy hat fits you well, it's a good look on you.
Perhaps the cowboy can try to catch another goat.....have fun guys and enjoy the whisky

rob van der veen Thanks for watching! Great to have you along! 😊
I quit watching Vagabond for that reason. I don't watch any multi hull shows.
Great, Johan and Malin.
One more fantastic place and more friends.
The moored vessels are magnificent. Do they make free tours? Lol
Ops! I forgot to comment. Johan, Malin knows how to imitate the goat... Very good Malin! kkk
Watched all your videos over the weekend -- great stuff! You've got a new subscriber.
Your best video yet. Keep them coming.
That's pretty cool. Awesome video.
LOL.... a Viking drinking Texas whiskey with a cowboy hat on! Way to go. Super yacht... no way. You need lots of paid crew
The drone shots were awesome!

Love your videos and music guys, great info on the areas you visit also.
Cool Videos, if i ever go there, i can see where the good places are :)
When going to St. Kitts you should definitely visit White House Bay and do some snorkelling at the two reefs there😉
Great video guys
I just left Antigua!! fun place
Ännu en härlig video. Måste lära mig segla så vi kan åka! :D
Du kommer inte att ångra det! :)

She is beautiful too :)

We love your videos!
Why don't you use your wind vane?
OMG, you guys are still climbing hills wearing flip-flops.
awesome video guys love it. A quick question what wind generator do you have now and do you like it? Is it quiet and how is it in low winds? I am looking foe one myself.

If those guys from Dallas had a lone silver star on their coffee mugs, beer mugs or tee shirts they are definitely creepy stalkers.
I just noticed your windlass is below deck in your anchor locker -- haven't seen that before but I like it. Any problems with it? Cheers.
Keep the hat.
That's insane, I would struggle to paddle across a lake and he goes from Africa to the Caribbean?
This are not Aloe Veras but Agaves, they grow untill they flower and then die.
Thanks for the info! Didn't know that :)
Or until someone cuts them to make tequila!
Yes that´s true, but the main thing is, it`s not Aloe, Aloe grows in Africa and Agaves in America
like a boss .. from texas :) an oil man !! eh eh

do you prefer the autopilot to the windvane?-
As always I thoroughly enjoyed this video. 👍 I have to ask this sorry - why do you both hike in flip flops, especially with the recent experience of trauma in the foot department?
Those plants flower and then die... but they might not flower for decades.

MidnightVisions Thanks for the story. Interesting! Cheers
I know exactly what you mean about 'couldn't stop looking at them', the superyachts. Each one is like a customized exotic supermodel of boat porn.
Wiki says OKTO is owned by a Greek shipping tycoon.
P Allen owns Octopus which is much larger at 92 m, he also owns Tatoosh and Meduse.
Are "Texas Guys" normally "Creepy Stalkers", except for the two you met?
How's the air plant doing that you got a few episodes back?
Not good... Didn't survive and don't know why? :(
So, did you find out what happened to the Aloë plants guys ?!
I think they may have been century plants, a type of agave, that flower once in a lifetime. They die after they flower.
Hej, jag är 19 och har alltid viljat segla, vet inte hur eller vart jag ska börja, hur hade ni råd med en sån båt, tog ni lån eller?

Nicely stated from the comfort of sitting in front of a computer.
Well, at least you don't deny that. Have a nice day.
MrSharkphoto And you, presumably are in great DIScomfort posting from the belly of a great white?
bobie gale , One of my country men. Great achievement.
We call it lumpy....not ideal but not horrible seas. Make enough passages and you understand lumpy is in the majority.
that is not aloevera it is cicil that is use to make rope
Why does the nav screen do that horrible flicker? Is it only because of the camera?
It’s because of the shutter speed of the camera and the Hz of the screen...
if you think that's impressive for yachts you should see Newport RI Harbour in the summertime especially by Goat Island.
Hey guys, that J-Class is for sale if you want it: www.boatinternational.com/yachts-for-sale/rainbow--80615
Antigua, is pronounced Antiga, the U is silent.

A bit disingenuous to call that a SUP don't you think?
Amazing accomplishment, but still, SUP?
We agree that it definitely looks more like a boat but that's what he called it :)
SUP = Stand Up Paddling - He stood by paddling while crossing the atlantic, so his boat was a SUP ;)
Captain Sailnator If anything, he paddled standing, but he certainly didn't, as you say, 'stand by paddling'. He stood by standing, and he paddled by paddling.
