just a heads up to anyone who’s also trying to find breakcore playlists. breakcore is a subgenre to DnB (drum and bass), and this along with a lot of recent breakcore playlists, are more along the lines of DnB and jungle than breakcore itself. break is a genre that utilises its speed and loudness, so it’s WAY more louder, faster, and sporadic than general DnB. but with that being said this is genuinely a nice DnB playlist, and this comment isn’t here to hate. i just wanted to actually explain the differences, when i myself, got mixed up when trying to find breakcore through these types of playlists. great list, just titled as the wrong genre!
yeah this is not breakcore at all, they might just be trying to get engagement since these 'breakcore' mixes were trending a bit. like 9:11 ... what lmao
Does anyone else find it fascinating how ridiculously _short_ individual Breakcore tracks tend to be? Like so many of them don't even reach the 2 min mark but the complexity is so detailed that it feels like it could go on forever
Breakcore is extremely hard to make with no help, and it took me 2 days of straight producing just to make 1 minute and 30 seconds, so that made it very hard to have it interesting enough to make it to the 2 minute mark without making it sound repetitive
4-5 min normal length in this genre. Not this modern atmospheric dnb/jungle stuff. Normal old school brackcore producers i mean. And complexity on another level. This just chill relaxing music.
Stumbling onto this video is another one of those rare moments where every song is an instant banger and you throw the entire mix into your favorite playlists. Thanks for the upload!!
yeah this is definitly not breakcore. Venetian Snares is a good example of breakcore. I have seen him dj live and mid song he stopped the music because he fucked up and everyone went berserk shouting and pulling on all the fences and shit lmao. Breakcore sounds like jungle but has a lot of syncopate drum rhythms
It's definitely well defined, but doing that doesn't really mean anything to anyone who doesn't produce, some people like to tell the history of breakcore as a way of explaining, but that doesn't really tell you anything about what it is, like saying your grandfather was a soldier but that doesn't say anything about me

ooooh liking the HexD you threw in with RAVE RATS VOLUME 1: INTERDIMENSIONAL LIFE, that genre is quite interesting even though it's not quite breakcore :3 cool playlist and nice cover art, I'll definitely be saving some of these tracks
Well laid out compilation (and visuals to go with it) I think. It tells a story in the order and is a fantastic listen whether you want to dance around or focus on working (whilst dancing at the desk!). Loads of names I didn't know before, so brilliant job as a collection done, since it introduces to more new avenues of awesome sound (whatever the style, it all flows really well together). Get some TOKYOPILL for the first breakcore fix, after building up to it with the rest. Thank you for this one.
Like many have already said, this isn't breakcore. The music itself is fine. And I saw you mention that you don't care, ok. The thing is though that people are going to come here, believe that it's breakcore and go all "oh I like breakcore" and it spreads from there. It's diluting the concept of breakcore and spreading misinformation. Imagine creating a "heavy metal" playlist and it's all Blink 182 and Weezer. This is the same thing. All music is fine, and to each their own. Diversity in choice is wonderful and we all listen to a wide range of styles most likely. But let's call it what it is please, and not spread misinformation :) Thank you for the playlist by the way, it takes time and effort to put together. I also like the cover art you did in PS, nice work.
I totally get your point and I think it is true that maybe for the genre as the whole generalizing it can dilute it what is breakcore and what isn't. While I do feverently listen to music, honestly probably too much, compared to another person who probably also listens to a lot of music or appreciates the art of music the same amount that i do. I just find that getting into the weeds of genre to be just a bit much, making it more intimating for people who just want to enjoy music. Or at the very least I prefer to just keep things simple for myself. I can enjoy and can notice differences in styles of songs. But I don't have the knowledge nor do i really want to have the knowledge of what breaks up these small subsects of breakcore, jungle dnb, and all those genres. I'm a simple man really. And I mean this channel and these videos of mixes specifically are more just outlets for things I enjoy. I'm not aiming to share music or educate on specific genres. This is more a catalogue of styles of music I enjoy listening to, so I can listen to them out on a moments notice or share them with friends if we happen to talk about music. But I do agree that I can be misleading of those wanting to learn, so I have been aiming to not over generalize or place songs into incorrect genres in future mixes. However, I'm not gonna be getting worrying myself over it so i probably will mess up again in the future. but at the end of the day I really dont care (not trying to be a dick). i do really appreciate the fact that some people have enjoyed me putting these songs together or complimenting the cover (thank you btw). tldr: my b dog, working on it sometimes and ty
