Something I always struggle with is having my builds seem too square or boxy and fearing it doesn’t look too interesting. I’m really glad that you showed that they can absolutely look interesting such as in this build and the Charleston single build from months ago! All these builds have been so inspiring, i can’t wait to use this build if and when I buy strangerville!
Thank you! I have that same worry too! I always feel like I need more bump-outs or else the build is too simple. I've found that sometimes keeping it square and simple can look better than having a bunch of unnecessary bump-outs though. It also makes the layout easier. Adding details goes a long way!
This is great! It reminds me of this super old library in a small rural town where I went to do genealogy research. For your first library, I think you did a fantastic job!
Just FYI there is a little known glitch with libraries in the sims floor that is usually only encountered by players of certain challenges...the lot type doesn't generate skill books, instead it's tied to a specific bookshelf that is a clone of the one in the catalog but isn't itself available in build! If you go into the willow creek library in build mode, you will find you can't clone the shelves...they look like the base game ones but they aren't, they are special library shelves that are the only ones to generate skill books. If you go to the Windenburg library, none of the shelves have skill books for this reason. The only work around is to create & save a room with the Willow Creek shelf in it and place it in the other libraries. It doesn't even have to be accessible. As long as that shelf is on the lit, all the shelves have skillbooks. It's so weird! And clearly they didn't realize they did that because even other EA built libraries have the issue. But so few players read skill books at the library that it's gone unfixed! Haha !

I got so sick of seeing the loading screen while playing strangerville, the story was interesting and I guess I imagined it being more like strangetown and the mystery behind that but it really wasn’t... kind of reminds me of that movie “the happening” just not with all the killing lol. still pretty fun. Thanks for sharing this build! The buildings in that town needed help lol
I did too! Every time it said I had to go somewhere else I got so annoyed that I had to see the loading screen again. I was hoping it was going to be more like Strangetown too.

I didn’t really love the story. I felt that it was really short and like you said, didn’t really explain much about why things were happening. I just didn’t find it to be worth $20 at all
Yeah, you can blow through it in a couple of hours. I've seen tips on things you can do to make the pack a little more worthwhile like making money off of bugging Sims.
