I think people in New Zealand people understand English right?and not just Kiwi accents??? I have a lot of kiwi friends and they understand a proper south Delhi accent.
It’s more the way we pronounce the english words and the way we sentence phrases that confuses kiwis sometimes.. Obviously english is their first language so that is definitely not the problem.. the problem is when english words sounds abit different.. I’m from north east India (Nagaland) and we also have our own english accent so yah..
