I deal with scam calls by phone putting a metal bowl over my phone after answering and banging it with a wooden spoon until they hang up. 😂 works every. Single. Time.
i just speak incoherent caveman german and make fun of them by once in a while throwing in normal german words that roughly translate to "ooh i have to go to work"
Just one tip: A VPN doesnt work like that. It doesn't make you safer since you're already safe on the Internet (certificates and stuff not Internet in general) It basically does the same thing as an Internet provider with just a step more. You can use it but it has other uses than you think
you can still get screwed over as ip leaks are VERY common with most vpns. Even if your IP is still covered up, other information thats stored in your browser or device can get stolen. Its really not that good unless you find a really secure VPN, but despite that you can still get tracked. @@SyncronedStuff
Also here’s a tip: If any of you are the kind of person to make fun of people on discord, it is not a good idea to put ur Facebook in bio. One of my friends was being made fun of on a discord server and so she used the Facebook link in their bio, used that to get their LinkedIn, and got their phone number from there, then gave the phone number to her cousin who is a bit of a hacker, and she dmed the person with their ip, phone number, provider and a bunch of other stuff including the town they lived in.
Your friend isn't a bit of a hacker lmao you can find a persons full name, address, criminal record, vehicle history, and a bunch of other stuff by just searching up their phone number on whitepages
Ooh interesting! I get some of that (inc. how they got which town they live in using the ip) but some if that is kinda advanced… Thanks for the tip anyway.
Please for the love of god do not download a random virus on your virtual machine, it USUALLY doesn't spread past it, but depending on what kind of virus it is, it can very easily get out of the virtual machine and onto your real computer. If you value anything on your computer it is never worth downloading viruses. At that point just get a spare laptop if you really want to run viruses. edit: Let me make this clear, it's very rare that it will spread onto your real computer, but if it does your basically done for. To stay on the safer side just get a cheap laptop you don't really care about
Using a VM is a good idea on software that you don't know what it does. BUT there is malware that can "escape" out of the VM and then attack your real OS. So still be careful what you run.
vpns are pretty useless unless you are using a public wifi or you’re trying to use a location based service the only thing you need to know is to be smart with what you click on, share, and download
Make sure you use a different drive for your VM, anything from DVDs to SSDs. I will always remember that one guy in a Roblox game with me claiming they "had wireshark open" and were going to get my IP. What they didn't know is that my ISP provides us with VPNs.
Your video has some misinformation in it. Firstly using vpns is for sure in some cases a good idea, for example in public networks to prevent mitm attacks on unsafe unencrypted app connections. Next thing, a virtual machine wont protect you alle the time, its good to have a sandbox for shady files but it wont protect you against social engineering attacks or any doxing related stuff. Also why dont you mention email account security and password managers, these are very important to prevent more damage if one account got hacked. So some things you say might be true there are missing important information and this is just dangerous
what is that game that plays every time he is explaining something. i just feel tat its so calming and nice and id play it for hours. also, great channel. mainly because you showed me how to send a message to bassically everybody in the school from another vid.
if you are using a virtual machine, DO NOT LINK A FILE TO A VM THAT IS ALREADY ON YOUR REAL PC. the virus can infect that file which is connected to your main pc so your pc gets hacked also. so do not link any files to your main pc or to your vm.
as a person who use windows 10 on a laptop made in taiwan with the antivirus mcafee wich i havent paid for whatever but never clicked accept the danger thing, when i got a virus McAfee deleted them after 5 seconds.
2:36 Uh... no. Telling people all they need is a brain to be safe online is *not* the case. You definitely still need an antivirus, because not everything is as it seems. Especially when literally anything digital can also be literally anything else digitally.
Can I become twice as safe by using a VPN on my computer, opening a Virtual Machine, and running a VPN on the Virtual Machine? This is a genuine question BTW
Kinda. You have to set up your VM correctly. Note that if you, let's just say hypothetically you log into someone's email, they will see that you logged in from a VM. The IP is from your VPN so pretty secure but nothing is 100%
Tunneling multiple vpn's depending on your use case could be good, but a new vm for each vpn in wouldn't make any sense or much of a difference at all.

Just stay silent. Some scam callers aren't allowed to hang up. Wasting their time not only saves u but other potential victims.

It makes you a whole fucking lot safer, since it basically spoofs yoir IP to something different.
