First, Allah discouraged the believers from drinking alcohol by highlighting its negative effects. Although people earned some benefit from alcohol through trade and entertainment, it was made clear that the harm in it is greater than its benefit.
      Allah said:
They ask you about wine and gambling. Say: In them is great sin and some benefit for people, but their sin is greater than their benefit.
      Surat al-Baqarah 2:219
Ibn Kathir comments on this verse, saying:
      وَلِهَذَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ مُمَهِّدَةً لِتَحْرِيمِ الْخَمْرِ عَلَى الْبَتَاتِ وَلَمْ تَكُنْ مُصَرِّحَةً بَلْ مُعَرِّضَةً
This verse prepared the way for prohibiting wine gradually, as it did not do so explicitly but rather by implication.
      Source: Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr 2:219
Then, Allah prohibited the believers from approaching prayer while in a state of drunkenness.
      Allah said:
O you who believe, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying.
      Surat al-Nisa 4:43
Finally, Allah prohibited alcohol completely once the people were ready for it.
      Allah said:
O you who believe, wine, gambling, sacrificing on stone alters, and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid them that you may be successful.
      Surat al-Ma’idah 5:90
Thus, the prohibition of alcohol came gradually over time. It is important to understand this progression so that we do not misinterpret the previous verses to think that alcohol is merely discouraged.
The wisdom behind the gradual prohibition was that Arab society in the beginning was not ready to abandon drinking alcohol. They needed to strengthen their faith in order to overcome their desire to drink.
Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said:
      وَلَوْ نَزَلَ أَوَّلَ شَيْءٍ لَا تَشْرَبُوا الْخَمْرَ لَقَالُوا لَا نَدَعُ الْخَمْرَ أَبَدًا وَلَوْ نَزَلَ لَا تَزْنُوا لَقَالُوا لَا نَدَعُ الزِّنَا أَبَدًا
If the first verse to be revealed was to not drink wine, they would have said we will never stop drinking. And if it had been revealed to not commit adultery, they would have said we will never stop committing adultery.
Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 4707, Grade: Sahih

At the time of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w when he was not given prophethood, there were how many people who were bowing in prayers to Allah taala ???? No one because all the maccans were idol worshippers, and there were no one to worship the True God (Allah taala) In fact at that time he swalallaho alahe wasalam was the first one to pray to Allah taala, so the statement of Quran e karim is 100 percent true. All of these so called contradictions are not contradictions at all, but all these statements made are based on lack of education regarding Islam or verses taken out of context from Quran e karim, Alhamdulilah I am proud to be a true believer and follower of Islam.

@@QuranforTheWest drinking was prohibited in three phases, first when the verse u mentioned was revealed, where a group of muslims chose not to drink because the verse stated that drinking was linked to a great evil, (verse 2-219), then the second time around was about not praying while drunken, which led a bunch of other muslims to quit it altogether, then the verse where intoxicants are mentioned with idols and drawing lots (5:90), that was when Umar and others were asking the prophet sala allahu alayhi wa sallam for a definitive answer regarding intoxicants being halal or haram, and when the verse was revealed they destroyed their stock of intoxicants, and arabs were heavy drinkers so it came hard on them, a bunch went back to argue with the prophet sala allahu alayhi wa salam and said, people like your late uncle Hamza and other sahaba are in jannah yet they were drinking something we re told not to, so he said, Allah heard your plead and he will answer you if he pleases, then the next verse in ma'ed was revealed 5:91 which states: Satan’s plan is to stir up hostility and hatred between you with intoxicants and gambling and to prevent you from remembering Allah and praying. Will you not then abstain?, so they answered we will abstain. In other words drinking is not only haram but super haram, as we are instructed not to sit a in a room where it is served or consumed even if we don't consume it, have you ever read the hadith of the people cursed through wine?
      Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah has cursed wine, its drinker, its server, its seller, its buyer, its presser, the one for whom it is pressed, the one who conveys it, and the one to whom it is conveyed.
This hadith is so authentic it came through many different sources and was included in at least three authentic hadith reference books, like in the book of attirmidhi, and ibn majah, and ibn habban and others.

I've a question based on your thoughts on defining wine as not prohibited or haram because the word haram is not mentioned. Then adultery also comes under the same act, because the word haram is not there and it is said it is very bad. So, Muslim countries should open strip clubs and prostitution hubs and then also make adult entertainment legal. This is a new finding I would suggest implementing this in all white people's countries.

But in Islam, a Muslim can only become a Slave of Islamic God (Allah)... Hence a Slave (Muslim) can be rejected by his Master (Allah) at any time... Hence Muslim has no Guarantee to enter in Heaven...!!!
