Having a packed bag for people in the nursing home makes perfect sense. In case of major weather events, a broken pipe, etc. they may need to move residents quickly. We've seen that with tornados, hurricanes, and so on.
I have a friend that works at the clinic in Deadwood. She said that the "Thing" is going around here big time. It doesn't seem to be a deadly version, but does make a person feel miserable, she said. Her advice: "Be sure to use your hand sanitizer!"
Tawra my daughter was getting to the age she said she could take a bath without mommy’s help. I went in to check on her and there was Nair on the edge of the tub. I freaked out because I thought she washed her hair with it. She said, mom my legs were hairy.

Dollar general has a brand of bleach I think its Awesome brand and its a gallon for $1 at least in Ohio
My fav laundry bleach has been several days of sunlight!!
After scrubbing in dawn dish soap into the deep grease stains, the stains are gone after 2 days. The white pants are then added to a white load. (My son works fast food and gas to clean the grill) 😫
You know how you always tell people to maybe buy frozen already made rather than fast food. I used to do a combination sometimes on a Sunday afternoon. I would make mashed potatoes and coleslaw, and then go to KFC for a bucket of chicken. Using certain coupons, this was less expensive than making dinner totally at home. This was before rotisserie chickens were so readily available.

Jill, I bought a commercial size roll of plastic wrap at Sam's club at least 10 years ago and I am still using it. I worked nights at the hospital and had to take my meal. I used plastic wrap to cover my container before putting the lid on it... for 2 reasons. 1. No one wiped the microwave down after they splattered food all over the inside. (My food was always covered, and their nasty stuff could not fall in my container). Everyone would complain about others not covering their food. I told them mine is always covered and if they do not cover their container they deserve to have all that nasty crap fall in their food! You should see their shocked faces 😂. 2. I hate cleaning dried food out of the inside rim of containers. It has really been a blessing for my work meals.
I know what you mean Donna. Every time I clean one of those silly lids I keep thinking "of all the amazing things they are inventing now you would think someone could come up with an easy to clean plastic lid" LOL
I agree with you I buy all these things . I love paying for the products the same as the original owner paid for sales tax. You two look cute but Jill you shirt is so pretty 😉….. dog treats/ cat treats that are new and gift wrap too

Connie me too. I was really little and my mom had me sit in a chair at the ironing board. I still sit down all the time when I iron. Never knew in years to come when I was so sick with CFS but still had earn some money being able to sit and iron would help me to do that taking in ironing. You never know what you learn when you are young how many little things like that will help you when you are older. : )

You can sanitize curlers in the dishwasher.
We moved and I was glad others needed our household cleaners and paper good, bc we were not moving them, and I did not want to trash them-we gave them all away in neighborhood and other people we knew
I have never bought any Band-Aids but I seen them and I needed them I would get them I had bought hair rollers sprayed it real good with some Lysol put in them some bleach water it’s all good do you have to use common sense to have a blessed day
I buy it all, except maybe opened cosmetics - lipstick, or foundation. Tell Jill I have a roll of that plastic wrap tool. It has been opened and returned to Sam's Club, then resold for $1 at my local bin store.
My emergency list is kept in my suitcase, because I would pack one, or two. When Hurricane Sandy was about to hit NJ, I packed important papers, jewelry, cash, weapons, ammo, insurance cards and policies, and took photos of the inside and outside of my house. I had the cat carrier ready to shove the cat in, and packed food and litter for her too. It was all sitting near the front door, ready to go, Thank God I didn't need to leave.
I resist WD-40 just because of the smell. Goo Gone really isn't much better as far as smell goes.
Also @ garage sales if they're about to wrap up for the day you can get amazing deals, I ended up getting 10 picture frames for only $2.00 and one of the frames retail for $20 by itself

I seen a reel this guy had, a screw on the end of the shower pipe water filter, then you connect your shower head or sprayer to front of that 😊 it’s around $10 on the bottom shelf at Home Depot
We do not have very many Garage Sales in my area anymore. We shop at about four thrift stores.

Garage sales aren't good here & not many of them. About a week ago my bf & I went to one & got some free light bulbs. Also I got some free hair clips. I did sanitize them. I get most of my cleaning supplies & toiletries at Dollar Tree for $1.25. Some times you can get high end stuff there for cheap. I love it when I see ppl selling Dollar Tree items at a garage sale for more than what you can get it for at DT. No thanks, I'll just go to DT. One time I saw at a yard sale where the ppl were selling new clothes with the prices on them & selling them for more than the price they paid.
Whoever is worried about nair in the shampoo bottle: You certainly aren't going to buy any shampoo without smelling it first ---nair is nasty smelling, so that won't happen.
Maybe, I guess, if you show up to a garage sale drunk, then all bets are off!

I had a tree fall on my house last weekend
Oh my. I'm glad you are ok. Praying for your home repairs to go quickly & smoothly. We are having rain & winds for the next 6-7 days. My neighbor has a tall dead tree right at the property line. I pray every time storms come it does not fall my way.
