Nice mystery box! Definitely get your money's worth. I live unboxings. It gives me ideas and honestly all the swatching videos keep me from making color mistakes. I love long videos as well.
46 -25 is18! You're 18 Seemownay. 😁 That yellow LAMY was my very first pen in 2017. I love it and am never getting rid of it. But I do protest. I love swatching videos. I can sit for hours and listen to the clicky clank of the bottles, pens, writing on paper... It's ASMR to my senses. Feel free to put one out there just for me.
Your math doesn't check out, it's 21. But nonetheless, the pen is closer to 30 years old than 25. I'll try to balance the real time swatching with sped up ones. I know what you mean by the ASMR sounds of ink swatching, I like those too.
My favourite inks where Pelikan Edelstein Apatite & Anderillium(?) Cuttlefish🐡. I think those Lamy Crystal Ink bottles tend to leak because for some reason the little thingy inside the lid becomes loose☹️ If you press it back in, especially in the "corners"😄 it should not leak anymore. I like both the sped up version and the real time swatching🤷🏻♀️ maybe mix it up? Oh, you could do a couple of chromatography tests again from inks already done to see how much difference there actually is🙂 Thanks for another great video🌻
Thanks so much for pointing that out, I'll check the lid and see if I can fix it. Yes, that's what I'll think I'm doing - mixing it up with real time talk and speeding things up.
Love unboxings and appreciate that you speed things up. Thank you. Have a sample of Lierre Sauvage, and it's not a favorite. However, I love the Apaptite. At times, I will order samples based on the names, and I would never give up the chance to say Pelikahn Edelshtein. Also like the Raspberry Rose, Thanks again!
I like Unboxings when they're paired with honest reviews. I follow you because we have similar tastes and are also picky about your likes/dislikes. Unbox away!!! 😂
I've never tried the Lamy Al-Star, so I am looking forward to your thoughts. I have the Lamy Safari x2 and I've been eyeing the Petrol or the Azure. Love all of your goodies and hope to have a bottle of the Earl Grey Tea next month. Thank you for sharing.
I'll have to compare my 25 year old (about) Safari to a current one. I have ordered the mystery box several times, and have always been happily surprised. Not always the inks I would chose myself, but interesting ones. A great way of discovering new inks. I have also been happy with their Subscription box, but this includes (sometimes) shimmer inks, so it might not be for you. There are, of course, no hard boundaries between colors, and therefore different people (and also different languages!) might catagorize specific colors differently.
I am too much of a control freak in order to repeatedly enjoy these surprises. I'm always intrigued by them, but in the long run I know I couldn't make them work. But that's ok. I notice that with the use of the word pink which here means something completely different regarding to color than in Germany (or maybe I just got it wrong here and there). To my understanding pink in German is a color that is almost magenta, very bright and bold. But here a pink is very soft and often muted.
The Lamy Crystal inks are nice, but the packaging is maddening. As I recall, there is no ink name on the bottle -- just a stripe of color here and there. I also agree with the other commentor that the leaking should be fixed if you press down on the piece inside the lid. I'm too picky to do well with surprises, and I'm out of storage space for ink bottles, so the Mystery Box would not work for me, but it's nice that you can add some preferences.
I have to look at the Azurite bottle again and check the piece inside the lid. I was very hesitant with the mystery box, that's why I decided I would give samples away, so I wouldn't be stuck with inks I didn't necessarily enjoy. But I'm glad they listened to my picky requests (and even allowed for me to make them). This will probably the only time I'll get a mystery box - unless I decided to do another giveaway.
Apatite is A-puh-tite with a long "i"...as in "eye". ITE is from a Greek word meaning rock or stone. All those minerals with "ite" at the end are pronounced with a long "i". You have Azurite too...and you don't say Azureet. :)
I was referring to the spelling of Apatite. It's a German ink brand that spells the Edelstein German but then uses the English spelling for the gemstone. In German it would be spelled Apatit. And then it would be pronounced Apa-teet. It just confused me for a moment.
Diamine Raspberry Rose is one of my favorite inks and yes, it‘s quite wet in my experience. Also, I really like Lierre Sauvage… I had it in cartridges first and after using it in the Kaweco Collection Liliput Green (great color match;), I had to get a bottle of it. That ink just makes me smile when I look at it. ;) Grasgrün. :D
You pronounced both Jacques Herbin and Lierre sauvage very well. That is very refreshing. Auther ink vlogers on here do a horrible job most of the time. ❤
I always wondered why it is Apatite as well, and I pronounce it in French like you do too. If only because it sounds better that using English pronounciation
It doesn't make sense to have a fully German ink: Pelikan Edelstein and then use the English spelling and pronunciation for the gemstone. But this is how they did it with all the Edelstein inks.
@@seemownay - Oh my goodness, I feel so honored. I would love a sample, even though I will probably purchase a bottle down the line because well, I have no self control. 😅 I recently purchased vials and would love to share with you as well.
I agree! Swatching is my meditation! I find it really calming.
It definitely is. I swatched some of my new inks yesterday evening, after work and it was very relaxing.☺️

I love all those colours…. I would have the same criteria for a Mystery box …. Exciting!
What an awesome Mystery Box! I love Cuttlefish Brown and Raspberry Rose, and of course Earl Grey Tea. This is another beautiful collection page! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋
Thank you so much! I haven't really used Cuttlefish Brown (I think), so I will find out how I like it in a pen.

Oddly enough my mystery box purchased from Atlas for me included Earl Grey Tea. They really do listen to your notes too! It’s pretty dope.
That is awesome! I hope you like Earl Grey Tea as much as I do.

Thanks for watching! It still turned out to be quite long - I haven't tried Lierre Sauvage in a pen, so we'll see how I like it then.

I have used the Bronze Al-Star before and to be honest it doesn't feel any different to me.
@@seemownay Thats good to know. Thank you.

LOL. I can also send you some samples.
@@seemownay thank you! I would appreciate that
