    I will watch any video length you do, Simone! I tend to watch certain videos over and over. I appreciate all the work you do in any video and will continue to watch. Looking forward to this series!

      Thank you so much, Karyna. I go back to certain videos to check on things too. I hope this series works out, it has been a lot of fun to film in this format for sure.

    I love your style, Simone so I'm here for ANY length of vids you decide to do. I always love chatty vids. They are great for journaling/ doing art to. It feels like we are hanging out with a big cup of coffee and sharing ideas 😊

      Aww, man, thanks for the compliment. I feel if I limit it to one "topic" I don't feel rushed and the content is better. But I don't know if that's just me or if it's actually true.

    I love that you are thinking about your video style, both for you personally and for engagement with your community. I’m here either way. 🤘🏼😸
    I love your lineup for the month. The colors are a nice range, and even your blues are very different. Your new pen cup is beautiful and it looks very functional too. Thank you so much for sharing! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋

      Thank you so much!! Yeah, I hope people like the new format, I can see an improvement already talking about just one thing in one video. I like the colors too, but I'm definitely struggling with the pens ... sigh, let's see how this develops.

    I must admit I think twice about longer videos, so I really enjoy the shorter format. Also Really enjoyed hearing and seeing your thought process behind choosing =)

      Thanks so much! I'm the same way, so I like that I found a way to share all the things I want to say but in smaller chunks.

    ❤ that you do you. I have a commute to work, so I don’t mind chunking a video and returning later, especially since when I’m driving, I’m listening and not watching. I can always come back for visuals. The TH-cam algorithm may not be friendly to creators for this real-world pattern, so yes, whatever you’re changing, I will continue watching, because your content is thoughtful and insightful. ❤❤

      Thank you - I'm not changing for the algorithm. But I already notice that I am not as pressured for time and can do one video per topic. Let's see how this month continues.

    I loved watching your thought process. I pick up little tidbits of information to think about. I had been thinking about the 2Go cup - I really like the design. I really like the fact that you are using it with intention. I'll be interested to hear how you like it!

    I like both long and short videos actually. Really doesn't matter to me.... ten to one I'm going to watch it no matter the length.Great line up for March. I love seeing your process and how you choose colors each month!

    I prefer videos that are 20-minutes or less because I have a significantly better chance of completing them! TH-cam is pushingpushingpushing new content, so circling back to finish a longer video (however good my intentions!) almost never happens. As always, TFS! 😍

    I appreciate all the thought and work you put into your videos and I watch every one! I like the idea of breaking them up into four as this makes it more realistic to watch them in restful moments. One suggestion I will make again is that you not assume everyone has perfect vision or is watching on a larger screen. Instead of assuming that all viewers see what you see, you could speak the name of each ink and each pen at least once, or anytime you are going back to it after a while. For example, instead of waving a swatch card around and saying "this ink," say "Pilot Irioshizuku Momiji," and maybe later just "Momiji." A possible test -- listen to your video with your eyes closed. Can you tell what you're talking about? I can see the names of the inks on my phone screen, especially if I zoom in, but others may struggle. I notice this not because of my own needs, but because I work in communications and we think about these things. Thinking about those with impaired vision is one aspect of accessibility. I realize this requires a change in speech patterns and that can be hard. Maybe try narrating as if you're talking to someone on the phone? (This can also help anyone who doesn't recognize a pen, such as the Opus 88 Koloro.)

      As someone who plays YT on her kitchen windowsill whilst doing #allthethings -- these are GREAT suggestions!

    • @seemownay
      @seemownay  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you as always for your suggestions, Marilyn. I remember you mentioning it before. It's harder than I thought. I'll try to be more mindful of this again, I think I get too excited and then forget. I already filmed several videos so it might not be noticeable right away.

      @@seemownay I so appreciate your openness to feedback, Simone. I often write down inks I'd like to try based on your videos, so I pay careful attention to what you share with us! Michelle makes a good point, as I too multitask while watching videos. I put my phone on a stand and do something like cleaning out pens. This weekend I have cleaned out more than usual, as I'm flushing out some pens for a friend who tends to let his dry out. It's so satisfying because it's something I can start and finish in one sitting.

    • @seemownay

      I have just edited a video where I was doing so great with the ink and pen names and then for the last bit I switched back to this, this and this. I'm working on it but it is so much harder than I thought it would be.

    Just as a point of reference, the "rainbow" is usually represented by ROYGBIV. (We always say Roy G. Biv...as if it was a name, so we can remember it). That stands for Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. I found that these are the colors represented by Isaac Newton's prism. (P.S. When you counted out the colors on your fingers...it was only 7, not 8.) ROYGBIV is also 7. Pink doesn't get a spot.

    I never mind a long video because I only watch as much of it as I have time for. Just because it is 45 minutes long, for example, doesn't mean I have to watch all 45 minutes at once...so I don't see the problem with long videos. If I have to come back to a video to finish it later, I just save it to Watch Later and it's there ready to go when I'm ready to come back to it.

    • @seemownay
      @seemownay  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome, I'm glad you feel that way. This worked for me and so I'm trying the four videos this month. We'll see how it turns out.

    I like when its all done in one video however I understand the fact that some people might not like that but I say they have the option to use the forward button or increase the speed of the video and if you use the number buttons you can skip 1 for 10% and 2 for 20% and so on throughout the video and 0 is the beginning of the video so hope that helps for those people ... but I prefer videos to all be done in 1 video or if they have to be in parts that they be put up within a reasonable time together say 1 or 2 days cause most peoples memory span is very short these days and if they are separated by more than a couple days people will forget what you are even talking about. or at least I will anyway ... I like long form content its like watching a small movie about a friend playing in their hobby and if you are also into those things you are keen on watching anyway I've rambled on long enough I too make long videos and I know some people may be annoyed but whatever ! You do you ! and let those who dont want to watch go bugger off ... and those who will stick around will stick around

    I hate short videos, I actually refuse to watch anything under like 7 or 8 minutes. I don't want to spend a lot of time bouncing from video to video. The longer, the better!
