"Honey what do you need 8 ipads for?"
"I... don't want to talk about it..."
This is so far my favorite comment. And the foreseeable truth.
Time to dig up all the displays and notebooks from the cellar.
You know, Midi pad controllers work good for music, if we could translate the inputs would work great for this type of thing
Hahahahaha!
Silent Hunter in a modern setting? Yes please!
The campaign sounds really promising. :)
Who knows a some one might make a Silent Hunter mod for this game to make it set in WW2. I would love to see something like that.
@@harmonicadude4732 oh how I hope so, imagine a silent hunter three re-master, wouldn't need to even change much, a graphics update and a bit of tuning to the career mode in terms of subtle immersion, hunting in a wolfpack, laying mines around ports, more historical events happening around you etc
Try cold waters too
@@benjaminprince6424 basically what uboat is. Well uboat has more crew and supply things but otherwise pretty similar
I love that the style makes everything look like CRT monitors. That is, in my opinion, the peak of aesthetic technology.
It does look nice.
These are definitely NOT cathode-ray tube monitors. They are modern flat-screens with touchscreen capability, according to my friends from virginia-class boats.
I guess some of the chunky ones looked like it to me. Like the speed, course depth readout and fire control.
I agree though everything else looks like modern touchscreens. Like the Pilot Station. Good to know though. Thanks for letting me know.
@@kotori87gaming89 I am aware that they’re modern monitors, I’m saying that the look, the bulky aesthetic is similar to that of CRTs.
@@nicazer ahh, that classic navy aesthetic. Why use four screws to hold something together when you can go with a massively mounting bracket and forty-two screws instead.
can't wait for this game! it's gonna be great. thanks for the shout out, wolfpack!
You can see that the Devs are really focusing on the quality. Even in pre Alpha everything looks so smooth.
It looks like this could turn out to be a pretty unique fantastic game which no doubt you'll be playing on the channel as soon as it's ready. 👍
For sure. I am pretty enthusiastic about the project!
The developer definitely chose one of the best content creators out there to give early access to their game. ✔️
Huh. Another apparently flashy game that's incapable of showing any effects on the target. The hull was undamaged when it turned turtle.
Most gamers want to see results bro. Otherwise all the build-up to taking the shot is pointless.
@@petetimbrell3527 So you obviously didn't see the text at the bottom of the screen throughout almost the entire video stating that this is a *pre-alpha concept demonstrator* bro! 🤦🏻♂️
@@petetimbrell3527 Congrats on being illiterate I guess, though idk why you felt like everyone else needed to know
Been waiting for a new modern sub-sim for a while. This is taking things to a whole new level for the genre.
Me too. I love what MaslasBros are doing here. Very excited about the future of the project.
I’m pretty impressed with how accurate the VA class control room looks.
As am I
The old Microprose company is back. They are releasing a few new games. A modern Naval combat game as well as a B-17 one.
Which one is a B-17 game? Didn't hear about it, how is it called?
Hope taff plays the b-17 one. :O
@@arquebusier1995 I played the original in 1999, IIRC. Flying in a flak zone was an amazing experience. The lite role playing elements really made the game stand out.
@@arquebusier1995 B-17 the mighty 8th
Well... Someone bought the rights to the Microprose trademark. Other than the name, there is no connection between the two. Whether they use the great old brand to publish excellent games like their namesake only time will tell. I remember a few years ago now there was a similar story about Cinemaware that went basically nowhere.
Looking forward to this game.
Same! It should be a blast!
I like what I'm seeing. One small observation about what I'm hearing. (Ex sonar sup here).
When battle stations was called away, the alarm we heard was actually the collision/flooding alarm. (Ascending ramp tone).
For battle stations, the general alarm is used. Sounds like a pulsed gong. (Also used if a fire breaks out).
Power plant casualties use a jump tone (sounds like a European
police siren). And last but certainly not least, the klaxon for the diving alarm.
Looks great. Can hardly wait. 🙂👍
How cool! I love the ship sinking. I think the secret key to a sub sim is satisfying sinking effects. It's the pay-off to all your hard work.
It is certainly nice to have some eye candy :)
yea ship sinking, but should she sink on the same side that she was hit and not in the opposite side?
3 years later this game is still not finished.
I need this! We need this! Id love to have a Typhoon class as an option. There is still one patrolling the seas. The mod community will be all over this. RPG elements would be great also.
We'd really love to have a Typhoon DLC but boomers have a very narrow mission range and if I am allowed to put it that way, rather boring.
@@maslasbros4219 The game is looking awesome, very promising. Is it also going to come with a mission editor like we've seen in games like Dangerous Waters?
Saw this on Chazly's channel and have been hooked, cannot wait to see how this project goes. Might not have the computer for this though, but I'm sure many content creators will jump on this. Between this, Sea Power, and War on the Sea, this looks absolutely incredible. Good luck Maslas!
at some point they should add little bobble heads that you can put on top of the screens, so when it dives they move, and it give sense of angle.
One of the biggest gripes with sub sims (any Military sim) is that the voiceover says things like "Sierra fourteen". As an ex-submarine sonar tech, I know that each number is pronounced individually. i.e. Sierra one-four. Just my opinion. This looks like it will be awesome.
We love all your detailed comments and catches guys. Most of us are members of www.iaru.org/. You are right but on those synthetic voices just didn't sound nice. So we said "who's gonna notice". LOL
@@maslasbros4219 Very much looking forward to this project, thanks for sharing it with Wolfpack!
@@maslasbros4219 Nice work , looks great !!
This, in VR, with a crew of players manning each key station/role/position like how Star Trek Bridge Crew works?
Looks quite impressive indeed. The voice acting could use a bit of Hollywood, though. I suppose it's realistic like this, since the crew members are sailors, not actors in an action movie, but somehow I'm used to more dramatic voices in games.
They will come eventually no worries on that.
I mean, I dont think they need to be "dramatic". Just more realistic in a relatable way. A focused, confident declaration of whatever action is being called out.
I love the cold waters voices and when they declare orders and actions. You can hear levels of authority, tone, panic when a torps in the water, or theres damage and flooding, calm and collected and enunciated when setting the course, etc , you know what I mean?
@@shmeckle666 yea
Imagine a modern destroyer command with full 3d bridge, command room, guns and engine room stations. WW2 like the original or modern destroyers. Please someone make this sim
its on the way, the same guys who made Uboat are making it. Hit it up on steam
Destroyers (and other small surface ship) are criminally underlook by many. They are the backbone of most navies, capable of many role. WW2 destroyers had the best stories too, from the Japanese Tokyo Express, to Australian Scrap Iron Flotilla, to US Picket Duty Destroyers directly facing off Japanese Kamikazes. I really wish there are more games dedicated for these vanguards of the navies.
In the future if MNW sell well, the Arleigh Burke will be a DLC.
@@sakethvelugoti4626 I looked it up and seen the demo. It looks very promising exactly like destroyer command but even more detailed with lots of stations to man. Hopfully they don't just focus on anti sub and add a full spectrum of threats like enemy surface ships and planes
This reminds me a lot of Janes I-688 from way the hell back in the day. Great video, looks like an excellent subsim.
From the intro I thought you were starting a new episode of Star Trek!!!
Looks like a new challenge for my favorite Sub Captain 😁
This looks absolutely incredible!
anyone else have their heart start beating faster while using headphones during this video? That beating seemed to slowly cause my heart to beat faster.
Oh this looks absolutely fantastic. Been waiting for a modern subsim like this for a long time. Of modern games Cold Waters is nice but lack of interiors just makes it feel so much more arcadey given how you play it direct from map and have massive unreal situational awareness.
How fantastic will this be, it's like star trek bridge commader but under water
The Capsize and then the Nose Dive was a Really cool Animation
You're right! This looks and sounds a lot like a new version of "Dangerous waters" which will be awesome!
star trek vibe intro nicely done wolfpack345
I love your sub simulator videos. I'm gonna use your reviews to help with my next game purchase.
Right after Capitan Ramius has left us (Sean Connery) RIP, we get this teaser. Please take my money!
RIP
Amazing looking game. Great coverage. Got yourself a sub.
the perry explosion sucked. looks like 90's graphics. game in all looks very promising.
@GMetzo Its probably more than 20%, but you are right, its an alpha which means the game is not even complete yet.
@GMetzo Tech-demo; it says pre-Alpha on screen.. I'd be satisfied even with those graphics.
Agreed
Holy cow, I can't believe this! I just slapped my face to make sure I'm not dreaming. That will be the Ultimate modern submarine simulator. The game all crazy sub sim fans are dreaming about since years. Dangerous Waters is freaken amazing but did not age very well on Windows 10 and 4k monitors + clunky controls. It's still THE reference. I really hope Modern Naval Warfare will be the next one.
It’s just not a Friday without my U-531fix.....
There will be a new series soon.
Looks great, though the bridge looks pretty empty for GQ :.
After seeing another channel giving it a try, I was waiting for your own test! This does look like it could be The Big One in modern sub games if it delivers on its promises, doesn't it? Multi-station multiplayer sounds absolutely awesome... and makes me wish I had more friends with an interest in submarines! Beyond my ex-submariner great uncle and the friend I discovered SH3 with (whom I haven't heard from since he became an actual sonar operator), no one is even remotely interested in them.
I'm gonna be so sad if they don't let me ditch all the naval / imperial silly units in the trash and switch my sub's units to metric like they do back on Earth...
Damn cool stuff.! Really like the interior. Think MaslasBros really have something here. But because they send you the demo to show it on your channel i belive they did it for the reason to get some reactions. Well this can definitely be a winner. Hope they can change change the distress battlestation voice, it didn't felt serious. Also make waves going a bit slower to make look more proportional. Sinking went way too quick to be honest.
This will be interesting.! Follows.
You are absolutely right on all your comments. This demo was intentionally created to finish within 15 minutes just because it is a proof of concept. And yes the battle-station voice didn't feel serious to us either. There will be voice acting we can assure you about it.
Wow ,thats is in fact realy impressive simulator ! Cant wait to see and get a market version !
cant wait to watch wolfpack345 jammin out with this game.
I really hope they let you walk all around the sub & interact with things & have the captain's quarters basically like uboat but in a modern-day sub that would be the ultimate simulation. MAKE IT REAL INSIDE.
Looks super cool definitely would love to see more love what I've seen from the channel definitely subbed
Wow, This has a lot of potential. Very interested.
coming from SH to this one will be a steep learning curve lol
It has to be if we are doing our job right.
With almost 2 months left of the year left, I hope the 2023 projected release date is held, I look forward to playing this sim
Relase date is Q4 2024
@@testo6562 ah lame, thanks for the update
I've been waiting for this since Dangerous Waters.
I saw this and was hoping you would try it out. Looks amazing
It really is. I am very excited about the project.
Hell yes! Sinking some modern large cargo ships with rockets and modern torpedoes, that would be awesome!
Looking forward to this....Hope we get a "lets play".....
Soiled myself upon seeing the con. My my my.
Oh wow, this looks fancy!! More of this please!
Very impressive for a pre-alpha. Would like to see voice commands. Give you that feel of "being there".
Will keep an eye on this one.
Still cant get over to SH3 :(
I will be starting a new series soon. No worries!
@@Wolfpack345 do you know if its gonna be like UBOAT -where you can actually move around in the different part of the uboat? , or is just that one place we see in the demo shown ? ...because thaats gonna be b o r i n g .........just saying.
@@Gallygoy You really want to set around in a galley? That sounds like fun to you? They are modeling all that needs to be modeled to make a proper submarine simulation.
@@Wolfpack345 we will see.
This looks great!
About dammed time there was another good sub warfare sim out there
I am intrigued to say the least.
I think the game of my dreams finally will be real. I hope there will be co-operative multiplayer ship managing with high reality simulation of systems.
Hot Damn!! A new Wolfpack345 series!! Sign me up!!!
Damn. That’s wild.
It is fantastic.
This is a really cool sim.. My dreams are coming true
Should be a lock on target cam view so you don't have to keep chasing the view.
I really don't breach much into this modern stuff, but I'm probably going to have to get this game pretty much day one...
Nice Intro
They did a good job with it!
@@Wolfpack345 what do you mean by they?
@@vladstanciu334 The developers working on the project. The intro starts whenever you boot up the demo. I did not make this one :P
That's a big sub compared to the crowded WWII submarines. It's like a Silent Hunter in a modern days.
Can’t wait for this to be purchasable on steam
Wow, A modern first person expeirence in a sub seems like a really interesting silent hunteresque idea.
Since they may be reading comments I'll leave what I noticed here. And my feelings on this at the end. Incase the devs care this is coming from somebody with some training in computer animation/graphic design. Although it's been a while.
I love the look of the interior. Since I've never actually seen the interiror of a more modern sub I was actually taken aback for a moment. Looked it up afterword, and it looks fairly accurate from what I could see.
Underwater view looks alright so far.
I also like how the crt's look for the most part although the...photonic view seemed a bit to bright? Like the contrast or gamma is a bit off, and consequently the sky/water were just a bit....much.
The ships model looks good on top, and I saw a little of the bottom most hull was taking shape, but the rest was blocky. Makes sense, it's underwater so less a priority.
The sinking mechanics seemed off. At first the rollerover was good, but then it did wierd handstand kind motion which seemed really odd.
Not going to mention things like particle effects or firing mechanics since they seem like placeholders or are in progress.
Honestly. This looks solid to me so far other than the kinks of an alpha product. I Can't wait to hear more about this in the future.
You got us on most of them... We won't disappoint believe us ;-)
@@maslasbros4219 Thats sounds great! Again I can't wait to see more.
New to this whole subsim thing, but this already something I know I will want.
This is 100% a great idea for VR
I’m so excited for this 😝
Looks good👍👍👍
I can't wait for this, I like how I thought about space ships.
Awesome News!!!
There was a 3d conn in Jane's 688I, so it is not the first time.
Do hope they add a good damage model, thats normally what lets sim games down (imo), a torp hits and all you see is a flash and some scorch marks... jagged metal and screams plz! :)
Consider it done!
I hope they change the music and ambience and go more for a cold waters type music/ambience type feel and audio aesthetic. Quiet, menacing, dark, slow burn, grueling, "creepy", and uneasy etc., always seemed very fitting for submarine warfare and the battlefield where they operate.
Even for this pre-alpha demo we have created and spend much on the development of the music engine. It becomes more intense when the torpedo is about to reach the frigate and explode.
that whole project sounds very ambitious, probably too ambitious tif you ask me
All you get to see is the controlroom... fingers crossed there will be more.
Maybe the torpedo room and for the classes that have a separated sonar room and radio shacks.
Love, love, love!!!!!!!
Lol those fire control and sonar screens are a mash up of several different builds. But they are real screens.
Keeps getting better and better, however it depends how modable it will be, it would suck if you can't mod it over time.
Wow sub games have really improved since silent service for NES
Is the game out yet? We haven’t even heard a release date?
Why is a USN submarine firing on a USN frigate?
Cant wait to see how this develops :D
This looks great! It's been a year a few days since you released this, do you have any plans to publish a new video on this game? I'd love to see one! 😁
Why would a Virginia Class Sub ( USA ) target a Oliver Hazard Perry Class Frigate ( USA ) ????🤷🏻♂️
Sinkex.
Also it is a very early demo.
Reminds me of startrek bridge commander. One has to wonder why this wasnt done earlier.
This is pre-Alpha. It looks amazing :)
Needs just a little polish. Top hit port side, Perry rolled to stbd.
Still no updates on this huh?
Hm, that looks really promising.
The Perry looks very "boxy". Lots of details so far, but the overall impression looks like the difference between IL2 Tank crew and Steel of fury. Maybe they will improve that. All in all, the game is looking great. Don't forget to have tons of spare fuses for all the electronic gizmos.
well to be fair, it's only in alpha
@Anthony Palumbo not really
This looks cool. But does the Photonics Mast not come out of the conning tower? seemed like it was attached to a buoy or something that detached and spooled out of a cable, looked kinda weird either way
I prefer your WWII submarine simulators. But for the alpha it looks really decent.
This makes me want to dust off my copy of good old 688 Attack Sub
I wish we could get some non-US subs as well, like a U-212. Or Soviet era boats like the Akula.
This looks great though.
Anyword if the devs are planning a PLAN campaign? It would be badass playing as the CO of a Chinese boat hunting carrier groups in the SCS.
Yet another game to add to my preorder list!
looking forward to seeing more
Suggestion to developers- Wolfpack's hand should be visible & holding a bottle of cheap vodka.
Will keep that in mind.
