Curly: gives a whole speech in Spanish
Rie: *giggles*
Hi magical potato 🥔
Me in Math class
1:25
Rie : Uno, Dos, Tres, *Siete* , Cinco !
Curly : *IDK how, but you used the wrong formula and got the correct answer !*
Safouane - I’m wheezing this is so underrated
Literally my whole math school career lol
I literally snorted so hard at this
MAAAAN 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I died
"Can this chef make a dish without knowing anything"
*yes she can because she is Rie*
Exact 😀😀
RIE CAN DO ANYTHING
The fact she counted wrong and still got the right total is my favorite thing😂😂
uno, dos, tres, *SIETE* , cinco
rie is so cute oml
It's not about the journey but the destination lol, she still counted to 5!
😂😂😂that journey tho

Flam3 B0i good for you
She is wrong and right at the same time
I love Rie soo much she's so sweet, willing to learn and the fact that she asked how to eat it shows how much she respects cultures
Vanessa Lopez she’s awesome
Off-topic
We have the same last name...
Jennifer Lopez
I loved it, specially since eating pupusas with anything other than your bare hands is disrespectful
Rie: Uno, Dos, Tres, Siete, Cinco
Curly: Perfecto
HAHAHA
LOVE YOU RIE!!
Curly: Well, yes, but actually no.
1 2 3 7 5
Rie: uno, dos, tres, siete, *cinco!*
*Error: tasked failed successfully.*
Edit: Yes I've spelled Cinco as "Singko" because I used spanished derived counting in Filipino. My brain kinda forgot how they're spelled in Spanish so I changed it.
Did you just say “singko” I-
It’s funny cuz it’s obvious he doesn’t know Spanish but he’s correcting her...cuz it’s cinco
Well, in Filipino it's spelled singko
@@preciouskagaoan4340 Well in El Savador, and the entire rest of the world, it's spelled cinco. They're speaking Spanish, not Tagalog, Cebuano, or whatever language you speak. lol
@@preciouskagaoan4340 it's not though, it's still cinco, it doesn't change through language lmao
I'd like to see Rie teaching another chef a recipe in Japanese!
Legit i feel like people would have more of a chance of Spanish. Rie is amazing. She understands a lot for having nothing to go off of
Maybe she can teach curly how to make one of her dishes but in Japanese
Maybe Alix?!?!
Yeah right, to make it fair!

"Rie" means laugh in Spanish. Rie is always "Riendo" and that's what makes her such an awesome person. We Love You Rie, ur food always looks so good. 😁
pollo: chicken
repollo: rechicken
Old but gold
@rej s. in spanish too. Well, repollo is cabbage
If you're wondering why Repollo is the word for cabbage, it comes from the latin base pullus which means sprout of a plant or from repullolo, which means to sprout forth again.
@@Lamb666 cool, thanks!
@rej s. yup.oh cool. Sound similar besides the last one lol

this is happening to me omg my pronunciation is so ass in both English and Spanish now
Wow that so true
Omg that’s true, after living for a couple years here in America I lost my Spanish accent and how to speak Castellano, I speak Spanglish now
Same as I learn I new language I get worse in my native language (English) I know two languages so It’s really not good
Rie: *Breathes*
Curly: *PeRfEcTo !*
I Can hear comments now
A-MEI-zing she is Perfecto
"That's not what I said, but it's ok." RIE CAN DO NO WRONG. 😭😂
Curly: “yo no se como se llama esta babosada”
Translation: “I don’t know the name of this”
Lol had me cracking up 😂
rie: uno, dos, tres, siete, cinco
rie 10 mins later: uno, dos, tres, quatro
what did we miss??
Ananya S cuatro vasos de maza?
@@jackievergara4214 i wish i knew that much spanish, im sorry i dont so i dont know what youve said :(((
siete is *seven* in Spanish, that's why it was so cute that she said it instead of quatro ( *four* ) but still got her to cinco ( *five* ).
Ten minutes later, she counted to four in Spanish just fine though, not confusing it for seven.
Oh i know. I know basic spanish iw as just wondering how her siete eudeenly becane quatro thats all
Thanks for explaining tho :))
it´s spelled Cuatro though
I feel like multilingual folks can understand both the panic and calm one experiences when being spoken to and not understand more than 5% of what's being said to you. 🤣
Wutevaperson , well said dear ❤️
Wutevaperson the tables turned in this challenge
Wutevaperson the girl can speak 3 languages awesome
Honestly this is me when someone speaks to me in Tagalog. Cause it sounds familiar but since my fam speaks a different dialect, I can’t understand for shizzzzz
Agreeee
Every time I see Curly I just get so happy. I don't know him but I always liked him and he went through do much and came out of it. He fought hard, got sober, lost weight, and just looks so happy and healthy and great and I just love him he's an inspiration to me.
after watching rie’s surprise announcement on her pregnancy, I’m just rewatching all her video in the past months again & just realizing now how you can notice her bump
Curly in the beginning: she doesnt know what we're making
Curly a bit later: dont worry my pupusas look like that too
Me: 😂🤦🏻♀️😂🤦🏻♀️😂🤦🏻♀️😂🤦🏻♀️
Yooooooooooooooo😂😂😂😂
curly: "these are traditions that our ancestors would have used to make these foods"
food processor:
Yeah, not sure what they used instead of the food processor.
Mortar and pestle ??
Katie-did A metate.
LMFAOOO
Brendan Thompson our ancestors didn’t use pork either they used turkey or boar. Pigs weren’t indigenous to the area.
When I saw the title I thought they were just going to get someone who is bilingual and knows a basic recipe, but when I heard he was Salvadorian I was honestly so happy
When he said “no fork and knives” my heart said 🥰🥰
9:01
"Don't worry, mine looks like that too."
Rie: so it is not good then
He said "Pupusas" ! But I don't think Rie caught it 😱 like wow you said you wouldn't say what it was til the end 😂
HAHA lol 😂
Curly's explanation of Spanglish is perfect for every "bilingual" person.
Exactly! I grew up speaking Spanish at home and learned English in school but never learned Spanish "properly" so I tend to forget a word here and there lol
she is rie the genius, she knows many language. we all stan multilingual queens✨
Omg when Rie said “uno dos tres siete cinco” I literally died!!!🤣🤣
I can't wait for someone telling Rie in Hindi, how to cook an Indian dish. Like this comment guys, so we can see Rie cooking Indian dish.
As an indian, who speaks no Hindi... or any of the motherland languages. I'd like this a lot
Evolved Copper yes I understand fluently but cand speak fluently
Me too
I'm south asian but was born in america, and even though I know my parents native language, I struggle a lot with the 326547398947 different spices so I can't imagine how hard it would be for someone like Rie who doesn't know the language at all! Having said that, I'm curious too!
I would love to see this!!
Me: speaks spanish and english
Also me: reads subtitles
Sarah Ortega I still read the subtitles if they’re in a language I don’t even know and the original audio is in my native tongue 🙈
I know english since I was 4 and I still have subtitles 😂
Me too!!! 😂
Love this kind of videos. I'm from Honduras and Salvatorian guys are our neighboors, so we feel like included as well with this kind of content.
The fact that Curly used so many bowls bothered me lmao like all the vegetables could have gone together and the meat could have just gone straight into the food processor. Brings me ptsd of washing the dishes after my mom's done cooking lol
I kept saying he must not be the one that does the dishes in his house🤣😂😉🤦🏽♀️🤭

You guys should do a vid where everyone has to speak in their native language.
The salsa is missing... 😩 But I’m proud someone is representing my country. 🇸🇻 ❤️❤️❤️
I literally was making this face 🤯 Could not believe he brought the curtido without la salsa. 🤦♀️ Most people cant even eat the curtido because it's has such a strong vinegar taste.

I’m no avid Spanish speaker but I swear I had to pause from laughing so hard at her count to 5 😂😂😂 I loveee iiiittttt
This was a fun video to watch. Love the enthusiasm between both and myself being bilingual... I know all about Spanglish. Nothing better that throwing half words in the conversation that throws everyone off except the ones speaking it!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Seeing this made me want to try to make Pupusas! I’m Mexican but my dad brings me some every Sunday ! I’m obsessed!
You should totally try it. That way you don't have to buy them cause they are 2 dollars each and in some places 3 dollars so they are pricey. I can make pupusas for like 6 people woth 20 dollars and still have some left. And you can make them however you want. 👍👍

This is such a beautiful video! I've been trying to find a cooking video that combines Spanish and English for school kids to watch during home learning (I am a Spanish teacher in Australia) and this was sooo perfect to show students you don't need to be fluent in a language to be understood and to have cross-cultural fun! I can't wait for my students to watch your video! Thank you for creating!
