Great , video ! Speaking from years of experience in investment banks industry here is my personal view on how these school elevate your career in the finance field. Overall both UF and UM, are great School. To make it simple, both give you the green light as check mark to move into interviews. On the other hand, there are a few factors that can make a difference at least for finance people. Cost vs quality: if cost is a factor for decision, UF is just the way to go. Both UF and UM have strong program. And to be honest, if I interview a candidate from both school the names just become a green check mark since both school are great. Then, it drill down more to personality and skills. Cost vs return: if cost is not a problem, UM does have a the “networking” factors over UF for those students who know how to leverage. Most big investment bank have a main location in Miami as major companies. Due to that reason, many well paid professionals go to UM for their master due to the location. As result, students from UM have a more direct access to senior professionals in Miami which make easier for them to get interviews and jobs at least in the finance field. However, this does not mean that UM is a golden tickets just to get in over UF. But yes, everybody know each other in Miami. Huge factor. Finally, UM have very wealthy students, this mean that you have people next to you who actually are just there for the knowledge, those connection later on have an impact on your career.
This is like watching those Jimmy Neutron and Timmy Turner cross over, but cooler
Haha those were always the best.
Having graduated from UF and living in South Florida, one of the differences: You can't get a Cuban espresso as easily at UF.😕
That is a good point!
