It's a videogame. The real battle cost Wittmann his whole tigersquad of 6 tigers and spoiled an ambush of his group and the Lehr division of the advancing British troops who had no idea they run into a trap. Wittmans heroic charge might killed an unprepared vanguard but spoiled the bigger picture.
Company of heroes were released in 2006 but it feels like the game was ahead of its time, its feel like the game aas released around 2010's decade, Ra2havoc how do you think about this game?
It's great! It's still one of my favourite RTS games. The graphics were amazing when it came out, those fully detailed 3d models for infantry were ahead of its time. Also you can rotate, angle and pan the camera until you are on the ground was impressive. I also like the cover system and the more realistic physics (where regular gun fire doesn't damage armour at all, you need anti-armour to do any damage). I think the explosions, smoke and vfx still holds up. Only thing that is starting to age is probably the textures and details on the environment. The textures and details on infantry may look old now but that's only if you zoom all the way in, from a distance they look fine.
