How to Create 3D Type Using Nomad Sculpt & Procreate on iPad

As I continue my journey into learning more about 3D design and sculpting, I'm not finding great tutorials available for some of things I'm trying to learn. So when that happens, I'll learn the thing and create a tutorial myself.
This is one of those times. Here's how to create simple 3D text effects using only an iPad with Nomad Sculpt and then how to paint it in Procreate.

I have been looking into making 3D text for a while and this just convinced me to get the nomad app, much simpler process than I thought!

Cool technique! The "pencil" icon is a sculpting trowel, the little metal tool used to cut into clay. For slicing the bottoms of the letters off, switch your camera to othographic mode, snap the angle by touching the camera gizmo on the top right until you're viewing the edge of or bottom of the letters parallel. Then use the Trim tool again to slice a line straight across, through everything. Viola, letters on an even plane. Alternatively you could use a boolean operator in the objects tab to use a box to slice everything off where it overlaps. SouthernGFX has some videos on that.

Could I draw a word in procreate and export it to nomad to make it 3D?

Great tutorial but when I go to extrude the letter my letter bows out so it doesn’t stay nice and even. I.e. it pulls it like a curved dome instead of a flat extrusion. Is there a setting for that ?

I really don't understand I don't have Stroke type on my Nomad Sculpt I'm lost🥺🥺🥺
