bro I'm so happy to find this channel at my hard times. It's just so wholesome to see you and your cooking. Helps relieve some of the stress from school
One other reason to cut the steaks with the grain is because picanha does have very long, distinct grain. They're like tiny tubes full of juice. If you cut against the grain, the juices drain out during cooking. When you leave them intact during cooking, then carve them against the grain, each tiny tube separates and explodes with juice. And now you know.

2 million subscribers that is awesome you deserve it you are a natural producer. A Michelin star meat chef. Thanks for all your information that took you years to understand.
Im a vegetarian off and on pescetarian since 25 years...and I am happy seeing Guga enjoy this meat. I went off meat when I was 10 years old cause I just hated most types of meats, it was an ordeal to avoid it during mealtimes. pork, chicken, was something I specially disliked along with steak. I remember explaining that eating meat was like eating paper, tasteless and impossible to swallow. Yet I still enjoy this channel, Gugas expression and love for meat is adorable! And as a foodie it's still interesting to learn about the process and effects with different ingredients. The consumption of beef has a lot of negative effects on the enviornment, it's a real issue that's quite easy to change on an individual level, in accordance with that you would think that this channel is horrible, Guga promotes meat, beef! it's ruining how can a vegetarian condone it. Im not against people eating meat, but I do believe we need to eat less of it. Guga promotes good meat, and expensive meats, animals who have lived better lives, and a meal you'll cherish. If people saved money from eating cheap fastfood meats from stressed out animals and spent it on amazing meat a few times a month it would make a difference for the environment, the animals and our health. More goodness and less crap for everyone! I don't think I'll ever eat meat but if I did it would have to be prepared by Guga!
Personally I believe we need to eat more meat. Many studies coming out now are showing that meat is one of the most nutrient dense foods we can consume, and doesn’t directly contribute to health issues (the main factor is what ELSE you pair it with in your overall diet.) HOWEVER. Everybody should be able to eat meat that is treated like this A5 picanha steak. You know that cow lived a better life than most of us can even hope for. Factory farming is a sin, if ever there was such a thing. I also grew up hating meat, but then I left my parent’s house and realized my mom just cooked the hell out of every cut of meat I’d ever really eaten. Properly seasoned and cooked beef? Amazing! Something cooked until it has no pink left? You might as well season a piece of carpet and chew on that for an hour.
4:36 you see that and your done. That’s the peak. That’s the end screen. You did it, you beat the game. Your done. There’s no words, it’s just dopamine. You win, congratulations.

Had to pause to say that I love hearing Guga say "The real OG..." about his Picanha . The Uncle everyone wishes they had for laughs and good eats.
"there's nothing that comes even close" while I'm here waiting for you to dry-age it lol. Love your videos!
Dryage this kind of meat? Cmon bro, dont say it ever again :D
They've tried dry-aging picanha before I think, but it meant you had to remove the fat-cap

As a Japanese steak enthusiast who has eaten just about every cut of beef, I 100% approve this Wagyu series. Congrats on your 2M subs!
I found Picanha on sale at my local wholesale club and tried it for the first time. It was so unbelievably good.
Guga: probably it's not something we're gonna eat again.
5 minutes later
Guga: dry aged wagyu picanha a5 is already on the work.
I've been with this channel for about a year. Seen you cut alot of meats and loves all experiments. However (and im not afraid to say this) when you cut the wagu. I actually cried; it was so beautiful.
10:22 awhh he's crying! What a pure hearted man!
Guys it's not over reacting.. trust me!! It's heaven when you bite onto it!

"Oh... okay..." - Dry Aged Wagyu A5 Picanha.
Edit: Just saw that this is getting some attention. Guga if you see this please consider a cooking competition show or something. I’d love to see you compete in something like Masterchef and blow Gordon Ramsey’s mind.

That steak belongs in a maximum security vault somewhere in nevada, that is a precious jewel my friend

Thank you guga for introducing me to picanha. The very first time I found it was at sprouts a few weeks ago. If I had to guess the marbling was probably prime. It blew my mind! A few days later I stumbled into a place that sold wagyu mbs 6 picanha and it left my wife and I with no words😭 A few weeks ago I bought Australian mbs 9+ picanha and every steak now taste like an old sock compared to it😐
Again thanks for putting out this content & congrats on your 2 million subscribers 😄
